Comments about Joseph's Hot Dog Pita Pockets:
Pita bread is a favorite in my house, it's versatile and a healthy alternative to ordinary white bread. I use it often for wraps and sometimes for quick pizzas when my niece and nephews visit. I'll also cut up 2 or 3 large rounds, toss them lightly with olive oil, herbs and spices and bake in the oven until golden, they're crunchy, delicious and low in fat and calories.
Always looking to try something new, on a recent grocery shopping trip I spotted **Joseph's "NEW" Hot Dog Pita Pockets** on sale for 99 cents a 5-loaf pack. I liked the size, they're not too big. From 5 pre-cut loaves you get 10 individual oblong-shaped pockets about 6 inches long by 3 inches wide. A perfect size for a hot dog or just about anything you want to fill it with, it's an easy way to "portion control" if you're watching what you eat.
**A 1/2 pita has 1 gram of total fat from Canola oil*, 0 Saturated Fat, 0 Trans Fat, 0 Cholesterol and 0 Sugar. A 1/2 pocket contains 52 calories, 6 of which are from fat*.** They also have 3 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber.
**Joseph's Hot Dog Pita Pockets** are made with wheat flour, soy flour and malted barley flour, they taste great and are perfectly sized for a light lunch or anytime. If you can't find this brand in your area, soon you'll be able to shop their online bakery at **www.josephsbakery.com** or you can call them at 978-688-2221.
