High Protein, Low G.I., Omega 3, Low-calorie-Has it All!

Comments about Joseph's Flax Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Lavash Bread:

Did you ever meet a bread that is low -calorie, loaded with nutrition, and tastes good?  Well, Joseph's Flax, Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Lavash Bread is your answer. What is Lavash? It's just a soft bread, originating in Turkey, baked in a square that's like a soft tortilla, and can be used as a wrap. One half square of this bread is only 50 calories! It comes in a convenient 9 oz. package with 4 large, thin, flat, square breads enclosed. I purchased it at Walmart.

I just take one, cut it in half---all of 50 calories, and stuff it with any meat, omelette, beans, rice, layer it with veggies, or eat it with a guacamole spread. I then roll it up.  It tastes chewy, mildly-grain flavored, and filling. It's versatile, loaded with nutrition, Low Carb, High Protein, Soluble Fiber, Excellent Source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids, No Sugar, No Sat Fat, No Cholesterol, Total Carbs- 7G!

NUTRITION:  TOTAL FAT= 2 G, Sat Fat=0 G, Trans Fat=0 G, Cholesterol=0 G, Sodium=260 MG, Total Carbs= 7 G, Dietary Fiber=3 G, Sugars= 0 G and Protein=5 G.

INGREDIENTS:  Water, Wheat Gluten, Corn Starch, Flax, Oat Fiber, Whole Wheat Flour, Oat Bran, Isolated Soy Protein, Soy Flour, Soy Oil,Sesame Flour, Salt, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Dextrose, Sodium Bicarbonate, Fumaric Acid (adds acid to the yeast) Potassium Sorbate, Monodiglycerides,Sodium Metabisulfite, and Yeast

If you are counting carbs on your diet, and want to eat this bread, remember to Subtract the Grams of Fiber from the Total Grams of Carbohydrates to get the "Net-Carb grams that you are consuming.  Example: This bread has 7 Total Grams of Carbohydrates. It contains 3 Grams of Dietary Fiber.  7-3=4.  Four grams of "Net Carbohydrates" is the only percentage absorbed by the body.  This example is printed as an illustration on the package also. Their website is: www. Joseph'sBakery.com

MY OPINION: Joseph's Flax, Oat Bran, and Whole Wheat Lavash Bread is versatile, delicious, and an easy way to include Whole Grains in your diet. The addition of Flax, Oat Bran, and Whole Wheat may help protect your heart, when utilized as part of a healthy diet with exercise.
