Joovy Sit N Stand LX Review Summary

With older siblings in mind, the Joovy Caboose Sit n Stand Stroller provides a traditional baby stroller seat and an extra place for older siblings to either sit (on a bench like seat) or stand. Able to be used from the very beginning, the Joovy Caboose Stroller also works with many infant car seats. The main drawback with using the infant car seat adapter is that it squishes the child sitting in the rear. As a “durable” double stroller, the Joovy Caboose Stroller “folds up so easily and compactly.” One of the largest complaints of reviewers though is that the Joovy Caboose Sit n’ Stand seems to weight just about as much as a real caboose being “very heavy and too bulky.” This tends to make the stroller “hard to navigate tight spaces.” After reading about the Joovy Caboose stroller, you may want to check out other sit n stand style stroller reviews here.

My first double stroller was a Graco tandem and I couldn't stand it. My children would pull on each other's hair, kick the back of the seat, etc.
I then bought another stroller that was a side by side. When my oldest daughter turned 4, her head was hitting the canopy/umbrella. Like most Mom's, we are...

We borrowed one from a friend when we had baby #2 to see how it would work out.  It didn't.  My 2-year-old wouldn't stay on the back of the stroller.  He didn't care to sit or stand, he just wanted to get down and run off.  So I guess the stroller wasn't interesting enough to make him want to stay... review »

At first I was a little leery about buying a stroller by a company I hadn't heard much about. I ordered this stroller on Walmart.com and used their site to store feature. My husband put the stroller together in a matter of 10-15 minutes. My toddler was IMMEDIATELY interested in riding in the back.

The only thing that I don't like about the stroller is that my toddler cannot sit comfortably in the bench seat while I have the infant seat in the front of the stroller. This really doesn't matter because usually my toddler isn't interested in sitting - she would rather stand. When our infant is...

With two children, a double stroller may not be a necessity, but it certainly can be indeispensible in many situations.  However, I had always been opposed to getting a double stroller because they are so bulky and difficult to navigate in certain situations such as narrow store aisles.

After some research,  I decided that a double stroller would be useful for my family when we go to outdoor events or fesitvals and family walks.  I wanted something that would be compact and affordable.  This troller fit the bill for me as it is a bit smaller than most other styles of double stroller so I...

Positives:

It actually folds up very compact. As long as I take the sun visors off, I can fit it in the back of my Prius. That's a pretty amazing feat considering not a lot fits back there other than groceries.

Love the fact that the toddler can get on and off so easily.

Nothing too much to be said about the front seat; pretty standard.

Cons:

One area for improvement is the storage accessibility and capability. The under the seat storage isn't all the big. If we go somewhere and try to bring a lunch with us, it doesn't fit. It's good for a small diaper bag and a purse. It's also extremely difficult...

I had two children , two years apart, with my oldest child very active and unwilling to sit in a stroller. He loved standing on the back of this stroller! Some of my favorite attributes:

- fits inside doors easily

- made for two children, but I often fit three (one in front, two in back with one sitting and one standing

- folds into compact size

- easy to push and steer

- built really well, saw very little wear in three years

- was admired by many (so admired that it was stolen)

- child can get in and out of the back without any help

- backseat has a seatbelt to keep wandering child in and safe...

The Joovy Sit N Stand stroller is a great, durable stroller!  We bought it specifically to bring to Walt Disney World with us.  Although it is a bit bulky, it is very easy to fold and unfold.  It is also a bit heavy but the weight is worth the quality of the stroller.  My daughter, 2 years old, sat in the front seat and my son, 4 years old, used the sit n stand feature.  We were at the top of the weight limit so I believe this caused the wheels to squeak quite a bit.  While this was a bit annoying, it was worth it to have such a great stroller.  Both my son and daughter loved it and it made...

I bought the stroller when my children were 2 and 5.  They are both small and so they didn't go over the  alloted weight for the stroller.  My older daughter loved the concept of being able to stand, sit or jump out when she wanted to walk.  I love the ability to use a strap on the back seat when I need to keep her in the stroller.  We took it to Disney with us and it worked out great.

The basket is small and very hard to access.  It has developed a squeak which, I found out at Disney, was common to other Joovey strollers that we saw.

Although I think it is a bit bulky when folded, most...

I purchased this stroller for my infant son and toddler son.  The car seat fit on it perfectly, however, my older son wasn't able to sit when the front seat was reclined.  It has to be reclined with an infant seat in the front!  I wasn't even able to use the stroller because my older son didn't want to stand all the time and he would complain about the front seat digging into his back.  The back "seat" was not stationary, either.  It would slide up and down, which made it hard for my son to sit still on it.  The stroller is also very heavy, making it hard to navigate tight spaces and extremely... review »

I love the concept of this stroller...my son rode in the front in his infant seat and now rides in the regular seat while my daughter (almost 3 when my son was born) rode or stood on the back. I think it is perfect for older toddlers with younger siblings. The stroller is very heavy and too bulky, though. It was a pain to take on trips, and we travel often. It is hard to fit the stroller in a trunk of a car if you have luggage as well. Most trips we have taken it on, we have had the stroller riding in the back seat with the kids instead of in the trunk of the rental car. It is heavy and hard to... review »

The stroller by Joovy is great! My son was never a "stoller baby" - by that I mean one of those babies you see lounging or sleeping in a stroller. So, when my daughter came along and it was time for a double stroller I knew we were going to have a hard time - until...we found this stroller. My son LOVES this stroller! He can stand on the back and  safely "see" what is going on while his little sister happily plays in the front. We have walked hundreds of miles (literally) with this stroller - on all sorts of terrain (sidewalks, malls, even trails in the woods). It is durable, yet light enough... review »

Well, I am a small woman and the idea of pushing a double tandem stroller doesn't seem like fun.  However, the Joovy Caboose is so well made that I can easily still push my kids riding in the stroller together even though one is 33 lbs and the other is 26 lbs.

I have even found that when I had 2 children standing on the back that I was still able to push and steer the stroller.  I could not say the same of other sit n stands. I bought one of the other brands and promptly returned it!  I took my children out for a walk with the other stroller and my husband had to push it most of the way.

I have a friend who has this stroller. One day we went tothe mall together and my 2year old and 4 year old were fighting each other and my friends child for the right to sit on the back of this stroller. This was my child who can unstrap every child safty invention known to man and thus has not sat in a stroller since she was 18 months old. Two of my children can fit on the back, the baby goes in the front, so I only have to worry about my 6 year old. Needless to say, after that trip tio the mall I went right out and bought one. I have been happy with it ever since.  This is from a mom who hated... review »

This stroller is very easy to use and folds up nicely. It fits in the back of most cars, even if you can't lie it completely flat. It does fit flat in my Explorer though. It turns very easily and handles bumps in the road nicely. I love it because you can actually use it in the mall without taking up all the aisle space! People stop me all the time to ask about it. I've just recently started using it without the infant seat since my youngest is old enough to sit forward now. This makes it more comfortable for my toddler since the infant seat isn't behind him if he sits on the bench, although,... review »

I am a self porclaimed stroller addict.  I have 3 children 4 and under and i have gone through 3 double strollers and have never been thrilled with them.  Until I bought the Joovy that is.  This stroller is a dream come true.  It is light, easy to manuver and well built.  I was a little worried that my 3 year old would have a hard time with the little seat in the back bu it turns out she loves it.  She doesn't feel like she is in a baby stroller, that she can get in and out on her own.  Yet she is stilled confined.  I would recommend this stroller to anyone!
