The body wash is great, but the pump has got to go!

3

I loved Johnson's Natural Baby Shampoo, so I thought I would love **Johnson's Natural Head-to-Toe Foaming Baby Wash** too, but I don't. Well, I should say I don't like the bottle and pump, I do like the actual body wash inside. I decided to buy this product over the shampoo again because this has a pump that delivers already-foamed body wash, where the shampoo has a cap that you pop up to squirt in your hand and create a lather. Not a huge difference in convenience, but I thought it was worth a shot. Well, when my bottle of **Johnson's Natural Head-to-Toe Foaming Body Wash** is gone, I'm going back to the shampoo. I do like that this product is 98% natural, paraben-free and a tear-free formula. Performance The actual body wash performs well. It cleans my son and leaves him smelling like a clean little baby, but where the "performance" goes awry is with the pump. You literally have to press the pump about six-ten times to get enough body wash to do something with. Not only is that annoying, but it somehow gets used up faster than the shampoo. My bottle of Johnson's Natural Baby Shampoo lasted FOREVER. This body wash is disappearing quickly, all because of the inefficient, ineffective pump! Scent I like the scent of this product. It's very subtle and gentle and doesn't last long on the skin, but it smells nice and appropriate for a baby. For those with sensitive skin, the bottle says that it contains an "ALLERFREE fragrance".

The only baby wash that irritated my son's skin!

I let my son use whatever baby wash was available. I didn't want to use only the gentle ones so that his skin would get used to all types and wouldn't be sensitive. Well when someone gave me this as a gift I thought I would try it out seeing as it is part of their new "natural" line, I thought it would be more gentle on his skin. Well his tough unsensitive skin reacted very badly to this baby wash. It gave him little red dots all over his back and arms! I didn't change his diet, or eat anything new personally (since I breastfeed) so I knew for sure it was because of this baby wash!! It went away after a while but did make me think twice about what kind of ingredients they're using in our baby items!

Natural Alternative

I love all things Johnson and Johnson. I also love natural products for a little baby. This combined the best of both worlds! I was really nervous about what products to use on a sensitive baby's skin. Then we were given this combined with the baby lotion as a present after our baby was born. They smell SO great! Not quite the same as the original, baby smelling lotions and washes from Johnson and Johnson. But I thought this was a great alternative for those that want to use natural products on their baby without spending a fortune or sacrificing quality. This is really worht trying. My only complaint is that I would rather have a liquid as opposed to a foam because I don't really think the foam is a good value for your money. It just doesn't last as long as a liquid wash.

Don't care for Johnson's Natural Baby Wash

I am always looking for natural products for our family to use because I hate all the nasty parabens, phthlates, and other chemicals that manufacturers use in their products. Many other brands are pretty expensive for our humble budget, so I thought I had hit the jackpot when I found this and it was more affordable than the others. However...I don't think I'll be using it once I finish this bottle. Like other reviewers said, it doesn't have the greastest smell. Now that others have pointed it out, it does contain chemicals and sulfates, which is really disappointing. I like that it is a pump, but I have to use SO in one bath, that it is not going to last as long as other bath washes. So ultimately, I'm going to wind up paying as much as I would if I just spent the extra on the REAL all natural products. Overall, I wouldn't really recommend this to a friend and we probably won't continue to use it.

Johnson's Natural smells...wierd.

I bought Johnson's Natural Foaming head to toe bodywash because I thought it would be a great alternative to the more expensive natural washes I buy for my son. My son has had issues with sensitve skin from some soaps and body washes, and his skin gets pink and itchy. I thought this would be a nice alternative, until I used it. First, the smell is odd. It almost starts out ok, but then when you hope the smell turns into a frangrance that smells like a plant or herb, it just stays wierd. The smell is not as strong as a "Fragranced" bodywash, but it does linger. Then, it's not as foamy as I had hoped. It's also not as effective in washing. It does rinse well, and it doesn't make my son's hair greasy the day after washing like lots of baby washes and shampoos do. I won't be buying this again, mostly because of the odd smell. I had high hopes, but am going to stick with other brands from now on.

Not as 'natural' as they claim..

I received this from a market research company to try. I was really excited when I saw it was a foaming baby wash because when my 8 year old was a baby, Baby Magic had a foaming baby wash and I absolutely loved it! This Johnson's Natural Foaming Baby Wash is terrible. First of all, the smell is annoying. I can't quite describe the smell. I liked it the first time I smelled it but I quickly changed my mind. The consistancy is very poor. It was always runny. And not only that but it took at least 10 pumps to clean one small child. So if I had actually liked this product and bought it myself, I would be paying more money than a normal baby wash just to use it up three times as fast. They can call it 'natural' or use the word in the title because they use SOME 'natural' ingredients.. but the truth is, there is still MANY chemicals in this product and can still be just as irritating to a baby's delicate skin as any other baby product out there.   Whild participating in the online focus group, I didn't find ONE parent that thought otherwise about this product. J & J really failed miserably with this one!
