Johnson's Buddies Review Summary

Do you need a buddy in the bath with your children? Maybe Johnson's Buddies can help. Peanutsmom says, “I have a 5 year old boy who hates bath time. I found this and now he has no problem.” Made by Johnsons, a name brand that parents have trusted for years to help them with their children and baby skin care needs, this bath time soap had a fresh clean scent, rinses clean, and is easy for little hands to hold. It's a bar of soap wrapped in a soft mesh, making it easy for preschool age children and up to feel more adult and in charge of their own bath. Several parent reviewers including lawofmurphy praise this children’s soaps effectiveness on eczema, “My son has eczema and dry skin problems. This soap doesn't seem to dry his skin out. It actually seems to moisturize as it cleans his sensitive skin. It rinses off very thoroughly.” One mom has even used it for herself! Don’t have little ones in the house? This is the best thing I have come across since sliced bread. I have a 5 year old boy who hates bath time. I found this and now he has no problem. It fits perfect into his hand and he is able to wash himself and feels like a big boy. I love the smell. With it being in the cloth it doesn't deslove as... review »

With all the free Johnson Buddies soap you can stock up on. I was eager to try this soap on my kids, I mean, hey, who doesn't love free!  At first I was just using it for my kids to wash their hands with at the sink, but then decided to use it for baths too.  My six year old had no problem with the...

This soap is terrific! My children both have eczema. May time I put them in the bath tub together. They are 3 and 6 years old. They would drop the soap that the adults int he house would use and it would sink to the bottom of the tub. Often times it would make the soap dissolve quicker as well as getting the water more soapy, which in turn would leave a soapy film in the tub, and leave my children with soap residue on their bodies....a problem for children with eczema as soap can be more drying. I came across this product and found it to be rather inexpensive .94 cents to $1.00 at most stores.... review »

I was using body wash for my daughter, then when she grew old enough to clean herself, she was having trouble with the body wash, even the foaming. So i decided to try johnson buddie bars. Best money i ever spent on bath products. The bar is so easy for her told, and wash herself. Which she loves being a big girl washing herself. Its small, but one bar lasts a long time. Which is great espically at the price. It smells great. Doesn't take much water to get it wet, and it rinses easily. I wish they sold them in bigger packs, instead of single bars. I also wish they would make other colors and scents....

It does seem a bit over-priced. But if you think about, you know that little piece of soap that is too small to hold and too annoying too use that you end up just chucking it or leaving it in the soap dispenser to grow into mildew and sticky grossness as you open up a new box of soap, well,  I am estimating that if you added all those bar leftovers together, you would probably end up with more than one bar of soap anyway. Right? Or the bar soaps that our children waste due to pure enjoyment which then accidentally slip at the bottom of the tub and disentagrate, leaving only a marble of soap left... review »

This is a great little product!  It's a bar of soap wrapped in a soft mesh.  I bought it for my kids to use at the shower house at sleep-away camp which has concrete floors.  If you drop you soap there, it gets kind of icky.  Not only does the mesh make the soap less slippery, but if you do drop it, it's protected.  The mesh makes it lather up so nice and it smells light and refreshing - not feminine for boys, or overpowering at all.  After camp was over, I find it great for the locker rooms for swim team practice.  THe mesh also makes it so you can use the soap down the the very end -...

We got a coupon one time to try the Johnson buddies soaps for free and it was the greatest investment Johnson has made because we are repeat customers.  The entire time my daughter was growing up we used baby johnson items and were glad to continue using them throughout toddlerhood and after but it was nice to see that they were coming up with a product for the other child.  These are great soaps and they lather well, they smell awesome they are easy for kids to hold onto and they make them affordable for parents of one or twelve children to be able to buy them.

My daugher used hers when we...

We just brought this with us on vacation as a "treat" for our daughter.  First of all, it was super cheap at Target, and my wife who is coupon-crazed, had a coupon and it was ultimately FREE.  It is a bar of soap wrapped in a cloth or mesh.  It was so easy for our daughter to hold.  She is at that age now where she wants to touch and hold everything.  Therefore, she was able to wash many of her body parts.  Also, because of the cloth, the soap does not run off the bar easily creating soap scum like most bars of soap.  So, it is protected even if it drops on the floor.  Also, this bar of...

I just love Bath and Body works and have dozens of their scents for self. Now my little girls like scented bath products too, but I find that the adult stuff is not gentle enough for them and they tend to use too much if left to dispense on their own. The American Girl line is almost as expensive as the adult stuff. So I went to Wal-Mart to seek an affordable solution to my delima and came accross this wonderful product. It's made by Johnson's and has the no more tears formula so I know it's gentle enough for them. But foremost, It is extremely affordable and I have wound up with a few dozen bars... review »

Hello, I am a mom with two children, four and two. They absolutely love this product. For some reason they find bars of soap so facinating, but they just cant seem to keep ahold of them, this product from johnsons solves this issue. My four year old son seems to like the fact that its "just like dads" very much. I like that he can use it himself. It smells good, like most johnsons products, and lasts a long time also.  I ve seen it being sold just about everywhere johnsons is wal-mart, target, etc. and its only about three dollars. Both my son and daughter have been diagnosed with excema and this...

My kids love Johnson's Buddies bar soap.  They love to clean themselves up with it.  They really like the smell and they like that they can hold onto it easier.  The bar doesn't slip out of their hands as easily as other bars of soap.  I love that they do clean themselves up.  I also love that even though the bar of soap ends up sitting in the tub with them through most of their tubby that it seems to last a very long time.  I think my kids smell great when they get out of the tub after cleaning up with Johnson's Buddies soap.  My son has eczema and dry skin problems.  This soap doesn't... review »

These little bars are AMAZING! Target has them for .94ea and for that price they are such a good product! The mesh "bag" makes it perfect for my 3 year olds hands and the green color makes it easy to see if she drops it in the bath water. I have been using them for about 6 months now and from the first time she used them, she has been washing herself. With the bars being just the right size for her hands and non slip she does a wonderful job of it too!

I currently have 25 of these little bars stocked in my pantry b/c I never want to have to run out of these for her. She loves using them and I...

I bought this for my children several months ago. My main reason at first was a 5 year old who likes to dump his liquid wash in the tub. Now it's all he will use, he loves to vroom it around like a car. We love the fruilty scent, easy grip and size for small hands. I gave a bar to my SIL who has a 12 year old autistic daughter. She had a hard time getting her to wash until the Johnson's Buddies bar. SIL said now she loves to lather up and sing in the tub. It's a little pricey, around $1.20, but I usually have coupons to use. Oh, I also like the fact that the soap doesn't leave a residue behind... review »

I love Johnson's buddies.  My daughter loves playing in the water, but hates when I go to help her wash or wash her hair.  Now that she has "her" soap.  She likes doing it herself, and even lets me help without complaining!  It lathers so well, that I am even able to wash her hair with it.  It smells great, and lasts quite awhile.  Really great for the price.  I even got some of these to go in both kids stockings!
