I've alway heard that massaging your baby can relax your baby and help build bonds stronger. Since I've never had a chance to take a baby massage class I picked up Johnson's Bedtime Touch Massage Gel instead.
In a bottle you get 5 fl. oz , the cost is around $4. The gel isn't too thick, I think it's perfect. It glides over your baby's skin. When using it, it releases NaturalCalm essences, a patent-pending blend of gentle and soothing aromas. It doesn't say what the smell is but I can definitely smell lavender and chamomile. This is a smell that would relax anyone. As I looked through the ingredients two of them stood out. This massage gel has hydrogenated castor oil and olive oil. Both of those are suppose to be good for skin and make it soft.
To use just squeeze a small amount into your hand then gently massage your baby. I recommend just finding out what your baby likes. I'm sure they will let you know! My son, as a baby, loved this stuff. I still occasionally give him massages but he's much too busy these days. I honestly feel like giving him those massages after bath helped with that special mom and baby bond.
Johnson's massage gel worked great for us. It helped my son relax to go to sleep, it actually softened his skin and didn't dry it out. It helped out in so many ways. If you're wanting to treat your baby to a massage I recommend trying out Johnson's Bedtime Touch Massage Gel.
