Once you begin to wear dentures there is a whole new way to take care of your smile. Brushing alone will not do as they are so tightly spaced you need extra help getting them clean. There are many "Denture Cleansers" out there so it is a matter of preference on which one you use. I prefer Efferdent Plus Gold as it also contains Listerine that helps not only kill germs but freshens your dentures to combat denture odor.

Efferdent Plus Gold Denture Cleanser

These tablets are very easy to use and work great in getting my dentures clean. I just drop one in the container I keep my dentures in with very warm water. It begins to dissolve as soon as it hits the water and the bubbling action starts cleaning. The directions say you only need to leave them in for 15 minutes but I prefer to let them soak overnight. Then I brush them in the morning to make sure they are clean.

Efferdent Plus Gold contains Listerine and kills 99% of the germs and helps keep denture odor away. My dentures also have no bad taste after using this Efferdent Plus Gold as it does with many other cleansers I have used in the past. These tablets just leave a nice clean denture with the pleasant taste of Listerine on them.

A warning to some folks as they do contain FD&C Yellow #5 dye in them so if you're sensitive to it you should not use this.

Bottom Line

Efferdent Plus Gold
does a great job and even though there are generic brands out there I have not found any that clean as well or that leave my dentures as fresh. It is worth the little extra I spend to have dentures that come out so clean.

And I thought you were just one tough guy (-: I have a hard time doing that full minute swish - but I try. Good this is not as intense.

It is not as strong in this as it is straight from the bottle, plus I rinse them off good so it doesn't bother me at all. ;)

Do you like the flavor of Listerine? I always thought it was awfully strong. But fresh yes.
