John Temmerman Quartet - Live in Evanston - John's Mixed Bag —

I love music and I enjoy jazz a little bit, Harry Connick Jr., etc.; so when I had the opportunity to listen to a new Jazz CD, I took it!

"Live in Evanston - John's Mixed Bag" by The John Temmerman Quartetis a mixture of classic standards and original compositions in the traditional style of all instrumental jazz, by Illinois Saxophonist, John Temmerman and his band in live recordings.

With familiar hits like The Beatles' "Norwegian Wood" and others like "Spooky," "Blue Moon," and "Sister Sadie," as well as John's originals like "Sooner or Later" and "Fundamental Dreamer," this CD is a well balanced collaboration of the most pleasant melodies.

I'm not your traditional jazz enthusiast and I absolutely enjoy this CD! John Temmerman is a phenomenal talent and his band knows how to compliment his sound without overpowering his reed. The band plays just soft enough in the background so his saxophone stylings are the main event while still playing an integral role in the music.

This CD is enjoyable to listen to on a drive, especially if you're someone who uses music without lyrics to keep you calm while driving without words distracting your mind off of the road.

Jazz listeners are going to absolutely love "Live in Evanston - John's Mixed Bag." If you want to be introduced to the jazz sound, this CD would be a great beginning to your love of jazz!

How great! Was this one of the CD's they were giving away here? Sounds like a good one.

No problem! I can't wait to listen to it as background music when I'm volunteering at the art gallery!

YES!! I can't stand rap music! I get angry just listening to it! I'm not trying to make an assumption, just an observation: It's no wonder most rap listeners are so grumpy about life.

Welcome to the world of jazz. I'll have to check it out. Sure beats "RAP"...doesn't it?
