In conjunction with the whole shampoo and conditioner from this Root Awakening line of John Frieda's, this styling product was absolutely amazing. First of all, it has the same amazing minty fresh smell that I adore from this line as well as a relatively good pump for dispensing the product. However, I haven't bought the full size. I was sent a sample from the company and I have seen some reviews that say the sample compared to the full size is vastly different. Which confuddles me but I suppose if you can get the sample for those special occasions it will do the following things. When I used it, it completely smoothed my hair, even the usual flyaways that I get after I finish blowdrying. It shaped my bangs exactly how I wanted them with no clumps and left a beautiful shine- even until the following day and after when I didn't wash my hair!

I got a free sample in the mail of John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Smoothing Lotion. I used it alongside the John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Shampoo and John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Conditioner. I thought using all three products together would for certain tame my hair. Alas, it did absolutely nothing. it did not do anything bad. It did not make it greasy or anything (but then again, I did not put all that much product up on my scalp), but it certainly did not smooth my hair and make it nice and un-frizzy. I have tried every anti-ffrizz item available on the market and nothing works. It's a shame, I don't understand my stupid hair. but I digress. This product is a waste. A nothing product. It made my hair smell good, but only for about five or ten seconds, then the smell went away. It did not smooth or anti-frizz. It did not condition any extra. all in all, a total waste. :(

I've been using a smoothing lotion or serum for the past couple of years, and I'm going to have to say that this John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Smoothing Lotion is my least favorite. I am very happy that I had the opportunity to try this formula out before I purchased it. I received a free sample in the mail of the Shampoo and the Smoothing Lotion. I am a fan of the Root Awakening line, and I was very excited to see that it now included a smoothing lotion, so I tried them right away. I use a smoothig lotion to control the texture of my hair and to help my hair lie down so it looks shinier. Previous keepers have been Redken's Smooth Down and Got2B's Smooth Operator Smoothing Groomer. Unfortunately, this formula made my hair feel greasy. I couldn't stand the way my hair felt and could only think about how soon I could wash it. I don't believe I used too much of the product. I'm used to my smoothing product allowing my hair to remain bouncy and soft without weighing it down or making it feel greasy. I like the shampoo, I love the conditioner, but I don't care for this smoothing lotion at all. I would not recommend this product to others based on my experience.

I started using the **John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Smoothing Lotion** a few months back after I noticed that my hair had become all dry and full of split ends from the constant flat ironing and coloring that I do. I am so glad I did because the smoothing lotion transformed my dry , frizzy hair into super soft and sleek locks. I first wash and condition my hair and when it has dried up, I dispense around 3 pumps of it into my hands and rub it into my hair. I use a little more of it on the roots and tips to calm the flyaways . Works perfect every single time. Unlike a few other Smoothing lotions, this one does not leave your hair feeling weighed down and heavy , it is just light enough to not give you that greasy feeling yet just right to make your hair more balanced and smooth. Did I mention I love the Eucalyptus smell ? I am a fan of natural and herbal oils, and the calming eucalyptus fragrance of this lotion is oh so heavenly !! The fragrance lingers for a long time and I can smell it almost all day after applying it. I simply adore this product for the way it transforms my hair into beautiful , smooth and silky tresses at the same time leaving it healthy and soft !

I bought this product because I had a John Frieda coupon and it was currenlty the cheapest one at the store.  I am so glad I did!  I LOVE this product.  The smell is so fresh and different that I would use it for the smell alone.  Although I wouldn't buy it for the small alone.  I would buy it because it works great.  My hair is usually limp.  I recently had it permed and when I straightened it it would get really dry.  This leave on boosting spray has worked wonders for my hair.  It leaves is bouncy and full, and it doesn't fall as soon as I walk out of the door.  One things that I absolutely love about this product is that it helps to get rid of those little "fly-aways" that happen right at my roots.  It keeps my roots nourished and helps keep them from breaking.  It is a terrific suplement to my other products (none of which are John Frieda, all of which are the cheapest out there).  This one product makes me walk of the house with a smile because I know I will have a good hair day all day.

After recieving a sample pack I wanted more. I was using biosilk, and as you may know you usually pay a pretty penny for biosilk. I did not think that this product would work but I was running my fingers through my hair all day! I love this product,and with the coupons that John Frieda gives out.....I was suprised at the savings! Love this product and recommend it to friends and family.

I was on the hunt for a "smoothing serum" product to help tame my hair as I attempt to grow out lots of super short layers.  I needed something that would make my hair look healthy and natural.  After trying at least five other similar products, with less than desirable results, (Most left my hair feeling greasy and unwashed-yuck!) I was just a throw in the towel.  But as I stated in my review about the Root Awakening conditioner, I had a coupon that made this product almost free.  So I decided to try one more "smoothing" product. This product gives me the smoothness I desire while styling my hair, but it offers so much more! After three weeks of use,  I've experienced no product build up, and my hair is stronger, healthier, and shinier than it's been since I was a child. This product is helping me endure that awful "grow out stage" with absolutely no bad hair days!  While the bottle seems small, it's actually a good value because a little of this product goes a long way.  Oh, and the smell is divine, too!

I love anything john Frieda.  I really love this new Root Awakening line.  First off the smell is wonderfull, like you just walked out of a salon smell.  I have nautrally curly and frizzy hair so it is hard for me to find a product to help with the frizziness without making my hair look greasy.  This John Frieda restoring cream does just the trick.  It keeps my hair shiny and frizz free all day whether I wear my hair straight or curly... it still works!  I love that it gives some volume to my roots.  I Have big hair but my roots tend to flatten to my head and this helps with that.   I use it when I get out of the shower to help with my tangles and sometimes I put it on after my hair is dry to help with fly aways.  I have gotten my mom and sister hooked on this line of John Frieda and they love it!  My husband even notices when I put it in my hair because it smells so stinking good!  I would recommend this product to anyone I know.

I just love so many of John Friedas products but one of my favorites is the Root Awakening Strength Restoring Smoothing Lotion. I don't know what I did to my hair at one point, I think it was my last pregnancy that really did it in. However, I had so many problems with it and didn't know what to use on it. So I asked my hair stylist what I should use and she recommended the John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring smoothing lotion. So she used it on my hair and I have been in love with it ever since. I shaved my head this past May for the Saint Baldrick's event because my son has cancer so we had him shave my head at the event. I now no longer use the John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring smoothing Lotion as much as I once did but I still stick to all of John Frieda's products. I have to highly recommend this product if you need it and want to have great hair. I don't know what I would have done without it before!

John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Smoothing Lotion is one of my favorite products all-time products!  Dry, dull, frizzy hair beware because this stuff is going to change the way you view your hair!  I went from crazy lady hair to hair that everyone compliments for it's shine and they always say how healthy it is!  Woohoo!  It doesn't get better than that in a New York Salon makeover!  This product is so easy to use too.  I spread a small amount on damp hair, and then just style it as usual (sometimes scrunched to be semi-curly and sometimes I blow it out straight).  Either way, it always comes out looking like I got it professionally done, and I didn't do anything difficult to it!  You will not regret buying this product.  Shell out the extra buck or two because it will be totally worth it!  Your hair has never looked better, and everyone is guaranteed to notice and wonder what you have done differently!
