I have wavy hair that doesn't look good unless it's wrangled with product and scrunched, so I'm always on the hunt for the best product for this purpose because I have yet to be totally satisfied with the result. I also have thick and long hair, so the waves easily get weighed down, and I need my product to be especially light to stop from weighing the waves down even further. John Frieda Frizz Ease Take Charge Curl Boosting Mousse has been a pretty good product for this purpose. It defines my holds my waves without weighing them down, since the mousse is lightweight. As a "Frizz Ease" product, though, I'd expect it to have some extra frizz control, but I think it falls short in this department. This may be due to the nature of scrunching itself, but I seemed to always have some frizz going on (which is easily remedied using the John Frieda Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme, though.)

I have horribly frizzy, thick, and semi-curly hair. Because I am 47 and the gray hairs have taken over, it is also color treated. I have tried so many products to try to control the mess I call my hair. My beautician suggested I try John Frieda. I bought this a few months ago. After washing my hair I applied this. I then blow dried my hair, curling my hair around my fingers as I dried it. The result was actually, to my surprise very pretty, smooth curls without the frizz. So many of the mousse products I have tried leave my hair looking wet or greasy after my hair is dry. This one didn't do that. My hair was soft and manageable. It felt soft to touch. The next morning, when I woke up my hair was still more manageable than it normally is. I am getting s many compliments since I started using this product! I will definitely be using this product in the future and recommend it for anyone with hard to manage hair.

This is my new favorite hair product. John Frieda Frizz Ease tames my frizzy wavy curly hair. It keeps my hair looking good without looking too crunchy or wet. I find it holds the curl really well throughout the day. The product is cost effective compared to salon brand pricing. It fits my budget.

I LOVE this mousse! I have very thick VERY frizzy hair and usually have to use handfuls of mousse just to try and tame it. One to two handfuls of this and my hair is awesomely perfect! I live in Florida so humidity is always a given and this is the best, lightest, non-clothes marking mousse I have ever tried! I was wary because I have tried salon products in the past and they never worked as well as this! Plus this costs less then the salon ones! A bit more than the other shelf types but since you use less and it works better so worth the extra price!!!

I recently started using this mouse. I absolutely love it. The last time I thought I had found a product like this, I had trouble with buildup in my hair so bad that I could comb through it either dry or wet. This product does not buildup like that and it does not weigh my hair down like many similar products. I use this mouse along with the John Frieda Dream Curls Spray when I want to wear my hair wavy or when I want to blow dry it straight, but need it to hold the curl I put in my hair so my ends flip under. These two products work well together and ad a huge amount of volume to my fine, wavy hair. I can use these products when I blow dry my hair straight or I can air dry my hair wavy and either way I get lots of soft, easy to control and easy to curl, volume. These products help hold the wave in my hair when I want it or ad volume to my hair when I wear it straight. When I wear my hair straight, I curl the ends under and these products help it to curl easier and to hold longer. I can even sleep on my style and only have to do a quick touchup the next day!!! These products do not weigh my hair down or make them stiff or crunchy as long as you don't over use them. I only wash my hair 2 or 3 times a week and I use these products the day I wash it and I sometimes use the curl spray in between washings, but I have had no issue with buidup. These products also smell wonderful both when being used and when your hair dries. These products are also not overly priced, but they perform like salon quality products.

I recently tried this because I won it as a sample. I am a big fan of John Frieda products being that I have unruly curly hair so I was very optimistic to try this product as well. I do like it, it was very easy to put on however it does leave your hands pretty sticky afterwards so make sure you rinse them. I found that a little does go a long way, too much and it makes your hair crispier then you would want it to be. I also like the John Frieda products tend to be pretty reasonable in price and is easy to find in any drug store if you are in need for more. I also have always enjoyed the fragrance of John Frieda products and this one is no different. I don't know for sure if I will buy more because I tend to use gel and hairspray but if someone is more of a fan of moose then this is a product I would recommend to anyone looking to try a new moose or has curly thick hair. It does help combat frizz and leave the curls looking nice.

John Freida's Frizz Ease Take Control Curl Boosting Mousse is not the best mousse out there, but, it is a really good one. And, for the price, it is great for daily use. It is a great value for the price, especially considering that it can often be found on sale and that coupons are readily available in newspapers and often online. I have very straight hair and I use this mousse in two different ways. First, I use it just like any mousse, before blowing out my hair, to add volume and body to my hair. Second, I use it when making my hair wavy. It works very well at both of these tasks. What I like best about this product is indicated in it's name - that it is a mousse, so, it encourages volume, but, it protects your hair against frizzing. I think John Frieda products are good everyday products that are very affordable and easy to use, with good effects - overall a very good value for hair products!

I have curly/coily 3c/4a multracial hair.  After dampening my hair a bit, I applied Frizz-Ease Curl Boosting Mousse. It was really bad. It made my hair even MORE frizzy that it already was! And it even SHRUNK my curls. I'm very glad I only bought the travel size. I don't feel bad tossing this one in the garbage. The only think good about this product is the nice smell and the lightweight feel of this product. Other than that, complete waste of time for me.

I have very thick, color-treated long hair, that is perfectly straight.  And, like every other woman, I want what I don't have (hair wise that is)...tons of curls.  John Frieda Take Charge curl-boosting mousse is part of the Frizz-Ease collection.  Although frizz taming is not a real problem for me, creating curls where there are none, is.  This is a thick, but lightweight feeling mousse.  I use it on dry hair, before styling with a curling iron.  I love the way it creates soft curls, that don't feel stiff, and look natural.  Although the instuctions say to apply to damp hair, and blow dry, I applied it to dry hair.  (I never have been very good with a blow dryer for styling.)  I applied the mousse, combed it thru the hair, then curled with a large barrel curling iron.  I then roll the curl back up, and secure with a large clip.  Once my whole head is done, I remove the clips, shake out and lightly brush with a large brush.  The result is very natural and soft waves and curls.  It also restores bounce and shine to my hair.  This is a great product to use in the winter, when dry air causes extra static and fly aways. Sign up for coupons on Facebook and the John Frieda site, then load up on this product.
