Best historical mini series I've ever seen.

an infrequent movie goer, waiting for the DVD, watching with kids
Pros

    Historically correct, Excellent script and dialogue, Intimate look at historical figures, Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney, Based on Pulitzer prize winning book, Inspired me to want to learn more

The HBO mini series "John Adams" based on the book by David McCullough exceeded all my expectations.  It was a riveting story of one of the most important Americans in Revolutionary history.  Extremely well done.  A must see even if you are not a history buff.
