After being in Miami for 90+ years Joe's Stone Crab opened its second location here in Chicago.  It has been a favorite for visitors and residents alike ever since. Although it is not the quintessential Chicago Steak House, for my tastes, it is much better.  Their specialty are the stone crabs.  They are fantastic and not readily available elsewhere.  I have had them at least 10 times.  However, recently I have become a big fan of their Alaskan King Crab legs.  Although they are crazy expensive ($56) they are the most flavorful, tender, sweet and delicious crab legs I have ever tasted in...

Yum. I would stop there but Joe's is so great so I will try and write more. Everything was fantastic, the veggies, the salads, the food, the service, top notch and without the server snobbery that often can be found in great restaurants.

The mustard sauce that comes with the stone crab claws is divine. I don't even like mustard. But this is spicy, zesty, creamy and fantastic.

The crab bisque was so smooth and velvety and delicious. I could eat it every day. I had Joe's famous scallops and they were sweet, firm and crispy. Perfect. I watched people eat the seafood chopped salad, it looked fantastic,...

Joes Crabs ~ Chicago, ILL is one of my favorite places to visit for seafood.  I have had the pleasure of eating there with a few of my friends, and I've found their meals to be very enjoyable.

I go to Joe's every time I am in Chicago.  It is really one of my favorite places to have a cocktail and relax.

I was first brought to Joe's by my best friend who happens to have moved to Chicago.  We went there a post shopping spree day for a cocktail.  I am a martini girl and choose the Coconut Martini... OMG ! ! !  It was to die for.  I had two (ok 3) and want more!  Then we ordered a few sides to nible on... the deep fried asparagus with lemon butter was incredible... but so were the french fried sweet potatos...

The next trip to Chicago I decided to bring my 3 Auntie and my Mom there...

We had heard great things about Joe's Stone Crab and wanted to try it for ourselves. We live in the suburbs and don't get downtown for dinner all that often, so every time we do we really want to make it worth our while. We ate at Joe's for our 10th anniversary and everything was delicious. The crab bisque was excellent, as were our steak and fish entrees.  I also remember the potato side dish as being very rich and delicious. The service was also excellent, which is something that is sometimes lacking even in finer dining establishments.  We were very pleased with the whole experience and will...

I visited Chicago recently and ate at lots of places. Joe's was absolutely my favorite. Everything, from the Stone Crab claws to the interesting assortment of breads on the table was perfect. The menu features steaks, seafood, and even liver and onions. The guests were dressed as formally and casually as they pleased. Everyone seemed to be having a great time at Joe's.

Joe's is one of my favorite restaurants in the city.  I love the fresh seafood, the staff and that my husband finds their steak to be one of the best in the city.  He doesn't like seafood so it great to have a place we can both go and indulge on the food we love.
