My Sister's Keeper was a page-turner from the first page to the last. The characters, for the most part were extremely well developed, and the author gives us a full-on view into a family through the eyes of each of it's members.
This is a family in turmoil - barely held together by a common thread - the plan of action to keep the oldest daughter, Kate, who has leukemia - alive. While many families have gone through similar expereiences, this particular familie's plan of action is unique unto itself. The question of course, is one of what damage is done to the balance of the family while all...
read full review »I was in a book store looking for something to read, when another person looking herself, came up and recommended My Sisters Keeper. I bought it and could not put the book down. I did not care so much for the language in it, but understood Jodi was keeping to the characters nature. I was completely shocked and blind sided by the ending. I recommend this to everyone I know. Since reading this book I have read more than half of her others books. She is a very good writer and brings current topics into a realistic setting. If you are looking for a great book that will bring you to tears this will...
read full review »This book is thought-provoking and forces you to consider things you never thought about before. I fell in love with the characters and was sad the book came to an end. Didn't end the way I thought it would either.

read full review »This book is amazingly written. I was tied into the main character and her mother throughout the entire book. The characters are dynamic and moving, they have faults and you see how they play into the story. How Picoult manages to give each character such a unique voice is amazing. The ending is extremely unexpected and sad. I was mad at the author and just the general cruelty that life can sometimes throw at people. I found myself crying and pleading with the author to change the ending even though I knew it wasn't possible, but at the end of the day I was so happy to have read this book.
