Pure Cardio Burn!

I purchased this particular workout dvd along with No More Trouble Zones. This workout dvd is pure cardio, no hand weights are required to use this dvd. Some of the workouts performed in this dvd are: jumping jacks, mountain climbers, planks, squats and so on. There is a lot of jumping around so if you have knee problems I am not sure this is the right dvd for you. This dvd is very tough and is not for the weak. It took me several weeks before I was able to complete the entire dvd from start to finish. I always make sure to have a towel and bottle water handy, I always get super sweaty and thirsty during and after the workout. There is a total of 7 workout circuits each lasting around 6 minutes. This workout dvd has improved my stamina and like my other Jillian Michaels workout dvds, I have lost inches and pounds using this dvd. Like No More Trouble Zones I wish the workout was broken up into 3 or 4 different total body workouts. This is a great workout dvd and I enjoy working out to it.

I have a complete collection of Jillian Michaels workout DVDs I ordered from amazon and that collection includes Jillian Michael's Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism workout! This workout focuses a lot on cardio exercises to get your heart rate up because that's one of the best ways to eliminate body fat and rev up your metabolism to burn that fat off! The workouts on this DVD can all be done at home with minimal equipment which is great for busy moms who can't get to the gym. Although the workouts on this specific DVD are longer then some of Jillian's other workouts it has a lot of cardio exercises so they're not as strenuous on the muscles. This workout can definitely get you all of the cardio you need in a day! This workout is done in typical Jillian Michaels fashion with her unique teaching style that I love! She will definitely get you in great shape! I don't know what I would do as a busy mom without Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism! This DVD will definitely have you sweating!

I love this workout DVD

I have almost all of Jillian Michael's workout DVDs including this Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. This is a great cardio workout. It's very different from her 30 Day Shred but I loved it. It's set up in seven different circuits that are 6 minutes each so the workout is 45+ minutes long including the warmup and cool down. There are no weights or equipment required. I think her instruction is more precise than in some of her previous DVDs and her explanations are really helpful. I like that this DVD is difficult and challenging in a good way. It's a very tough cardio workout that gets your heart pumping and makes you feel great after your done. I don't think this workout is a good workout for beginners but it's something to get if you love fitness and want to get a good burn. I love this DVD and always keep in in my rotation of at home workouts. I think it's highly effective at getting results.

This one is really hard!

I am a big Jillian fan and own a great deal of her DVDs. I saw a clip of this one on the TV and thought I would give it a try. Let me tell you this, it is a lot harder than you think it is going to be. It is a 40 minute workout that focuses mainly on cardiovascular moves. It is all focused on body weight. I am a runner and thought for sure I would have the endurance to complete this. However, about 15 minutes in, I was dying. This is a very challenging workout. I couldn't finish it the first time I tried. However, it is also a very effective workout. I kept working at it and was eventually able to finish it. I remember being so proud the day I finished it. I could also tell the changes in my body and muscle tone. It is great for a day you are stuck inside and need a good, effective workout. It is not my favorite Jillian DVD but I really enjoy it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good workout or who like Jillian.

Butt kicker!

I am rating this DVD of Jillian's a 5 because it was a total and complete booty kicker. It is definitely more aimed at cardio than most of her strength building DVDs. No weights were used, and all strength portions were using your own body weight. I have to admit that even when I am at my peak of fitness and working out, my cardio definitely has room for improvement. This was 45 minutes of pure, nonstop cardio in really creative ways. I wanted to quit so badly when I was gasping for air, and yelling at Jillian while at the same time not having the energy or breath to actually get the words out. I know I am making it sound horrible, but this DVD works and it is such an accomplishment to get through it all. Jillian has a great way of making you hate her while at the same time loving her. She also seems to know exactly when to interject with an encouraging remark to make you keep going.

Heart-pumping exercise

The first time I did this workout by Jillian Michaels, I severely underestimated it. It kicked my butt, just about literally! I don't recommend this workout for beginners, you will need to work your way up to this. However, if you're serious about getting an effective workout, look no further! Jillian's instruction is very thorough, she is great at walking you through every step of the routine. It keeps you moving on all different levels, so it's like a shock to the system. Great for working out your entire body though! Make sure you keep a water bottle handy, because I fly through water when I do this workout. Jillian challenges you throughout and you really have to push yourself. I like her as a trainer/instructor because she pushes you without coming across as a military drill sargeant. Lots of variety in this workout, and you can feel every move work your muscles while your heartrate stays up and pumping.

A cardio step up from the Shred

If you found results from the Shred or are looking for a cardio workout that is effective and you can do in your own home, then you should try this video.  This workout is broken up into seven different sets of circuits.  Each exercise move (and there are a lot of different moves to keep up the interest) is simple and probably something that you have done before.   Jillian mixes it up with doing plyometrics one circuit, regular calisthetics another, an ab circuit, and other basic cardio moves.  Your heart rate will go up fast but it seems like she makes it manageable by moving between a tough cardio move and a one that gives you more of a break.  If you like the 30 day shred, you will like this video because it is similar, but you do not need dumbbells or anything other than a towel or a mat.  While Ido think it would be boring to do this video every day, I would recommend it for a person that likes to add variety in their workouts by putting this DVD in once or twice a week.

Intense cardio workout that will leave you breathless!

I love Jillian Michaels.  Her workouts are effective and actually leave me feeling like I have accomplished something once I have completed them.  Boost Metabolism concentrates on the cardio aspect of exercise.  She does a great job of cuing the sets, explaining the exercises, and demonstrating proper form.  It is also long enough to really be a challenging workout.  Great job and definitely worth the price!

For those into exercise, Jillian Michael's Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism workout DVD is a must.  The workout includes numerous circuts designed to repeat the move.  Each circuit works a different part of the body, and she does a good job of explaining how to make a move harder or easier.  I like the fact that the workout uses different areas of the body.  Your heartrate is also through the roof, and you will sweat!  It is a great cardioblast without machines or a gym.  All you need is a mat if you're working on a hardwood floor.
