Jessica Seinfeld - Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating Good Food —

I bought this book after seeing Jessica on the Oprah show. The recipies looked so easy and delicious that I couldn't wait to see the book for myself. Within 24 hrs of seeing the show, I was on the Internet purchasing the book. The day I got the book in the mail I was off to the grocery store to stock up on a few things like wheat germ, flax seed meal, and lots of fresh veggies (new for us!) I spent an entire Sunday afternoon pureeing the veggies after I cooked them. This was the hardest part, but I now have a freezer full of different pureed veggies to use at a moments notice.

The first meal I made was monzarella sticks, home-made macaroni and cheese, and turkey burgers. My kids only eat hot dogs or chicken strips and I about fell over when they actually ate the turkey burgers! When my son, who is a very picky eater, tasted the mac and cheese (which was made with a butternut squash puree) he said those words any Mom would love to hear: "Mom! This is better than the box!" Who would have thought that my kids would eat veggies?

So far we have made about 8 recipes from this cook book and we have loved everything. I highly recommend this book for any busy family. The recipes are healthy, easy, and low cost buy using common household staples.

Glad you liked it. Seinfeld kind of copied her stuff from another writer.
