Jesse's Girl Terra Bronze Baked Powder Eye Shadow Review

Gold Eye Shadow sounds like such a simple term.  I mean gold is pretty basic, right?  WRONG!

I can not tell you how many times I have tried to find a perfect gold which is not to brown, yellow, brassy, etc, and I end up with everything but what I want.

I like a gold that can go from warm to cool if I use the right colors to balance it.  If it is too warm, that is not possible.

Recently I found a little gem at RITE AID PHARMACY called JESSE'S GIRL BAKED EYE SHADOW in TERRA BRONZE.

WHAT IS TERRA BRONZE LIKE?

When I first came upon the Terra Bronze Eye Shadow I jumped on the display.  There was only one left and I could tell that this was going to be a color that I would love to have in my makeup kit.

TERRA BRONZE from JESSES GIRL comes in a black container with a flip top and a clear window.  It looks very similar to the MAC MINERALIZE EYE SHADOWS that have come out in the past.  The contents of the container for TERRA BRONZE JESSES GIRL BAKED EYE SHADOW is also amazing- there is 3.8 grams in a container as compared to MAC MINERALIZE EYE SHADOWS which only have 2.2 grams of product on them.  For $4, the price is amazing considering that the price of MAC's version is four times more at least.

The eye shadow is domed up just like in the MAC version and it is very fragile just like the MAC version too.

TERRA BRONZE is a beautiful creamy gold base (in color) with a lemon gold shimmer and veins of bronzey gold running through it.

The texture is very velvety and it goes on quite evenly.  TERRA BRONZE can be sheered out nicely if you like just a translucent glow for your eye looks, or it can be put on very intensely with a metallic sheen that will please even the hardest core metal freaks (when it comes to makeup, that is).

I really love TERRA BRONZE from JESSES GIRL BAKED EYE SHADOW collection that I saw at RITE AID.  It is a gorgeous gold color which is slightly more pink than LORAC GLAM ROCKS in METALLIC PEARL, and it is a perfect companion to the ivory gold in STILA PRECIOUS PEARL PALETTE.

TERRA BRONZE is a nice smooth eye shadow that really makes me all excited to wear it.  It is perfect for the holidays or other special occasions and I have even used it as a center accent over red lipsticks- blended well.  I have also mixed this in with clear gloss on my lips over other colors for a great depth on lipsicks.

I hate the fact that this stuff is very fragile, making it hard to carry in my purse.  If you do want to carry it in your purse, you need to pad it well in a place that it won't jostle or knock around or it will shatter.

If it does shatter, then put it back together with rubbing alcohol and press it back into the pan- it won't look nearly as nice, but it will still work on the skin well.

I highly recommend TERRA BRONZE BAKED EYE SHADOW from JESSE'S GIRL if you like true gold eyeshadows.  For the price, it can not be beat.

WHERE TO FIND?

Although their home site www.jessesgirlcosmetics.com does not have anything about these exciting new shadows, I did find this at RITE AID on the table with special collections on it.  Many people have purchased these because most of the spots were empty in a very short time.
