Jericho —

Jericho season 1 and season 2 DVD sets, OMG what a terrific series.  Finally a television show that is innovative, thought provoking and progressive.  Season 1 contains all 22 episodes along with a few extras and some deleted scenes.  Season 2 contains all 7 episodes along with some extras, including a thank you from the cast to all the "nutty" fans that helped save show and the alternate ending finale.  I am one of those "nutty" fans that campaigned to save the show after CBS cancelled it the first time, and are again campaigning for another network to pick the show up after CBS in their infinte wisdom canceled it AGAIN.

If you are not familiar with Jericho it is a serial drama, that takes place after 23 nuclear attacks happen in the United States.  Jericho is fictional small town in Kansas, that has been spared from destruction.  It is not a "Mad Max" type show, but one of survival in the face of disaster with the whole town pulling together.  It has intrigue, suspense and great characters such as;  Jake Green played by Skeet Ulrich, Robert Hawkins played by Lennie James and Stanley Richmond played by Brad Beyer.  It also explores the relationships that develop while trying to survive in a world that has changed overnight.  It has love, action and a sense of hope.

Season 2 which CBS only devoted 7 episodes to, is jammed packed with on the edge of your seat action, betrayal, suspense and yet hope for a better society.  The produces, writers and actors did a great job of trying to continue the story from the cliffhanger in season 1.  There is even a great villain from a mercenary group called Ravenwood, played by D.B. Sweeny.  Easi Morales also joins the cast as Major John Beck from the new Allied States of America, or what used to be the United States of America.

If you want something that makes you think, laugh & cry instead of the mindless and endless crime dramas and reality shows...........Jericho is the ticket.  Both sets can purchased either on-line or in stores and are reasonably priced.  Hopefully there will even be a season 3 in the future.
