Bottom-line: All things considered we now have a new lotion in our household, and it goes by the name of Jergens a name that I remember from my childhood, and now a lotion I can trust to truly moisturize my skin.
I have dry skin, and after a shower, it is even more so. No matter what soap I use the result is the same: dry skin. So I need lotion and lots of it every night after my shower and the next morning as well. No lotion equals ash; yuck! So my wife and I have a routine wherein she will lotion my back (I can't reach back there) every night something I have come to look forward to immensely. So in a lotion I look for a product that not only moisturizes my skin, but also smells good; as I have been told men need to small good for our woman too.
For the past couple of months we have been using CVS Aloe Cool & Fresh Light Moisturizing Lotion that I bought on sale; bad move! The lotion does not absorb well into the skin at all, instead it sits on top of the skin and after a while needs to be wiped off! Hello.
So I after some research the wife and I decided on Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Lotion as our new lotion of choice.
On the very large 21.5 fluid oz. bottle the lotion claims to penetrate "5 layers of skin's surface to start healing at the source." At $7.49 a bottle Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Lotion is not cheap, but cheap as we so often find out is not always best or better for you in the long run.
The long slender bottle is fitted with a sturdy pump top that is easy to use and always deposits the right amount of lotion into the palm. Jergen's states that the lotion is made with Vitamin 3 (?); Omega 3, or Vitamin B3? The lotion is also made with a blend Vitamin C, E, and B5. And Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Lotion smells great; not too heavy on the perfumes, the (white) lotion has a light, clean, fragrance that is never overpowering.
All things considered we now have a new lotion in our household, and it goes by the name of Jergens a name that I remember from my childhood, and now a lotion I can trust to truly moisturize my skin.
