Jergens is an old name in beauty, and I am inclined to trust the company. When I saw the Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer at Wal-Mart and on sale with a face product to boot, I had to toss it in the cart. That is exactly what they wanted I'm sure with this as a display right near the check out.
The marketing on Natural Glow suggests that you'll get some color. OK. It does say SUBTLE skin darkening. I guess that "subtle" is hard to define. I'd say this is more like the Emporer and his lack of clothes. If you see any darkening then I think you just want to see it.
I can say that this moisturizer does soften my skin, so I don't have any beefs on that. It's fine for a body lotion. If they'd let it go at that, then I'd not be irritated. But, Jergens did put this out as a product that gives some color - "glow" as they put it. I am not glowing at all. In fact, I am kind of steaming at being "taken" in at the Wal-Mart check out. I'm sure Jergens paid big to have this right there and then in my cart. I'm not usually that impulsive, and I guess I can just blame myself. But, I did think Jergens would not punk me.
Natural Glow is a body lotion - and that's it.
Do not expect to have any extra color.
That's fine when you're not expecting "glow." When the company tells you that you will be "darkened," then you expect to be. I'm not darker.
I am ghosty and I'm irritated. At least I'm soft, but I can get that a lot of places. I'd even go with Jergens for that. But I do not appreciate being told something that I do not think is one bit true. I can't tell one bit of difference in skin color tone. And, that's what sold me on this lotion.
