Jenny McCarthy - Louder Than Words: A Mother's Journey in Healing Autism —

The books that most people are familiar with from author/ actoress, Jenny McCarthy are those that are funny and full of hillarious personal experiences whether it is from pregnancy to birth. She has a way of letting us into her life to know how down to earth she is and how much she is "just like us".But in her resent book "Louder Than Words: A Mother's Journey In Healing Autism" shows us a little bit more of her than we ever knew.Probably more of the "just like you " than we ever realized. As a mother to a 4 year old son with autism I read this book in the hope of finding that even a celebrity would know how hard it is to deal with the everyday life of a child with Autism. In her book she lets us, the reader, into the most deficult part of any parents life. The part where you find out that your child is not like to rest and is going to go thru more than you imagined. The interesting part about this is that most of the people who are in her line of work don't for around admitting if there is anything wrong with their child(ren). She lets us look into the world of a family trying to deal with their child's  diagnoses and the problems that are assosiated with that diagnoses.

A book like this is usually written for the families who are dealing with this and from that aspect it is harder to follow when you don't know anything about what is going on the feelings and emotions that go along with this subject. But with Jenny's book you know exaclty how she is feeling no matter if your dealing with it personally or not. You feel as though you know what is going on the whole book. She makes the book personal to everyone reading it.It is also filled with wonderful organizations and helpful websites that you can visit to learn more about Autism. It truly is one of the best books to help inspire parents of children with Autsim. It shows there is something we can do to help pull our children through this whether it is completly cured or just learning to live each day to the fullest.
