I did JC before my wedding to lose some extra lbs. I thought it would be easier for me than it was, but I guess I was lacking in motivation. First off, you go to the center to meet with your consultant and plan you menu. The center was nice and clean, and the staff was very friendly. The food tastes good, but the portions are incredibly small and have very low sodium levels. The diet basically seems to dehydrate you by flushing your body out and not allowing you to retain any water. Then, when you do eat a meal that is not on the plan and has a higher sodium content, you immediately regain some of the water and therefore regain some lbs. Anyway, the food is very expensive. It can easily cost $60-100 for one weeks worth of prepackaged meals. Unfortunately, I did not stick to the plan well and did not lose any weight. I am sure the diet works well for those who stick to it, but it was too expensive for me to do long-term.
