I didn't want to deal with my weight for years. I love food and I wasn't ready to give it up. My doctor had even said he would recommend me for weight loss surgery - which is tantamount to self-mutilation.
When I was finally ready I decided to try Jenny Craig as my sister had lost 20 pounds on it. I had a lot more to lose and I didn't have much hope but I thought I'd try it. I LOVE IT!!! I've lost 30 pounds so far and I think I can stick with this for the long term.
The food is frozen but I think there is more variety than what you can get in the grocery store frozen food diet section. Expecially on breakfasts - pancakes with veggie sausage, french toast, blueberry muffins. The snacks are great, too - cheese curls, lemon cake, popcorn.
With the plan I chose ($300/yr to start, $90/yr subsequently - ouch) you get a bigger discount as time goes on up to a top discount of 30 % after 3 or 4 months.
You can do the program online but I go to a center so I can use their scale. And I like my counselor - she's a Jenny Craig dieter herself.
You can use the Jenny Craig website even if you are not a member. TRY IT!!!
