In my quest to give up a few calories, I decided to ditch beef for turkey, at least when it comes to burgers!  I have purchased the Jeannie-O Savory Seasoned Turkey Burgers several times now and haven't had any snide comments from the hubby either!  I've managed to do this by taking the burgers out of the package and placing them in the freezer and throwing the box away.  It's out of sight and out of my mind and it never got into his.  He likes his meat and I've given up on Bocca burgers, he just can't stand those.  But the Jeannie-O Savory Seasoned Turkey Burgers have passed the the test in my home.

Jeannie-O Savory Seasoned Turkey Burgers

These burgers can be found in the frozen section of your grocer.  They come vacuum sealed with 2 burgers in a pack.  The box contains a total of 12 quarter pound burgers.  The Savory Seasoned Burgers are seasoned with diced tomatoes, bell peppers, cheese and spices.  Each box retails for around $5.00 a box.

These burgers are easy to prepare.  In fact, the manufacturer states you can cook them frozen.  I've always thawed mine out first because it doesn't take long anyway.

Nutritional Information

Jeannie-O Savory Seasoned Turkey Burgers contain 70% less fat than traditional USDA ground beef.  This boils down to only 9 grams of fat per serving compared to 30 grams of fat in a ground beef burger.

Calories per serving (1 meat patty):  160

My Viewpoint

These burgers have a nice flavor.  They are not bland and they do not taste like cardboard, as my husband describes the flavor of Boca Burgers.  I love the fact that they are healthy and passes my husbands taste test also.  He has never asked me if these burgers were veggie burgers which is a good thing.  When he eats and enjoys the food without a thousand questions we are on the right track.  And when it comes to pulling one over on him, yes, I've done that with Jeannie-O Savory Seasoned Turkey Burgers.  He is eating healthier and will one day thank me.

I like the way these burgers are packaged.  They are vacuumed sealed and will keep in your freezer for a couple of months.  I usually use them up within a month because they are so easy to thaw out and prepare.  When I need a quick meal, I can always rely on serving up burgers for dinner.

This is a good product for anyone wanting to eat healthier or watching calories.  Jeannie-O Savory Seasoned Turkey Burgers offers lower fat content, fewer calories and a decent taste!  I like it!

I bet these would be great on my grill, add a roasted slice of onion or green pepper and ZAP instant smiles all around. ;)

They have a piece of freezer paper in between the two patties packed together. They thaw pretty fast packed that way too! I've never tried cooking them frozen like the package says...maybe one day!

Oh, these are great. I usually sprinkle a bit of Goya Adobo seasoning on them and they're even better! I enjoyed the review! Dave

I haven't tried these yet. Looks something we'd like. Thanks for the info. As for Veggie burgers I prefer Morning Star. They have a good variety of flavors. You'd be pleasantly surprized.

I feel like your husband does about "veggie" burgers but I have had good experiences with other Jennie-O products so maybe I'll give these a try. Say, are they hard to separate and get apart? Sometimes frozen burgers just stick together in a solid block. Thanks for a great review.

These sound good and much better than those fake boca burgers...lol ;)
