It had been my dream to own a Wrangler since 1998.  I drove my buddy's 2002 Wrangler around on and off for about a year, and had to get my own.  I bought my 2007 Wrangler in February and promptly drove it across the country.  The new soft top is noisier than a regular car, but far better than the previous models.  Also, I find the top a lot easier to get off and put on than other models.  I love how big and durable everything is - the door handles, the stick, etc.  I love putting the top down and taking the doors off and cruising around town, but that kills the gas mileage.  Seems like the more fun you have with the jeep, the more gas it needs... but it is so worth it!  I came to my Jeep from a Toyota Celica, and I do miss my celica sometimes... but usually only when I want to rip it up and go fast down a country road.  But the pros of owning a jeep far outweigh the Celica.  I love going offroading and how safe I feel knowing I have the option of using 4 wheel drive if I need it due to snow or other road conditions.  The gas mileage is better than other Wranglers -- you can get 20 or 21 on the highway in 6th gear!  I do plan on getting a hard top, which have been redesigned and are really cool now, too.  The soft top doesn't provide any security - and can be a target for vandals.  Someone cut a hole in my window and a new window costs $240.  So, that's a con.  I leave my doors unlocked all the time in hopes that someone will just open the door and take something instead of cutting through the top and taking it anyway... but sometimes people just want to vandalize things, i guess.  I still love my Jeep, though!
