Nice car but feel unsafe

Two years ago I bought a  brand new 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  I have been stranded in my vehicle because of a blown transmission, shifter stuck into neutral, broken CD player, engine lights always on along with airbag lights, occaisonal dead battery.  I have had Jeep Cherokees before without any major problems but the 2005 model has been causing me a feeling of being unsafe.
