I am writing this review to help you save your animal from the hands of this vet. This so called veterinarian gave a sick animal a rabies shot. At the time I did not know that you were not to give a sick animal any vaccines. My cat had cancer. He gave her the shot and 3 days later she couldnt walk. She died a few days later. I was told by the animal control shelter he should not have given her the shot and that he should have known better as they excuse animals from rabies shot when they are sick. Oh I know you all thinking well she had cancer...but that is not what killed her. It was the shot. Also I want to warn you that this place is owned by Dwaine Smith. He is the office manager and he is always charging you extra on food. I dont know how many times I have caught him charging me the price on food. I have also been charged for services I did not recieve. He cant keep a vet there long. They quit after about a year or so. He has had so many different vets there you cant keep up. I finally got smart after the death of my cat and took the rest of my animals elsewhere. Had enough of this place.

Here is what really happened! I found out that this lady made an appointment with Dr. Cash for a Rabies shot ONLY! After the vaccine was administered, THEN she started telling Dr. Cash about the physical problems that had been going on for a long time! Dr. Cash recommended running a health/blood profile to check for cancer. The results came back that her cat had terminal cancer and had it over 6 months! Thus, the rabies shot had nothing to do with the cat's health! ALSO, the lady was advised to euthanize the cat, but she REFUSED and let this poor animal suffer a painful and inhumane death! So let's set the record straight! They should sue her for SLANDER!

u people aremean for saying things about someones loss of their animal. u don't know the full story, she does. like she would make something like that up. search on google and it will tell u that no one or no animal should ever get a vaccine while being sick. everyone knows that. so research things before u run ur mouth on the internet. apparantly this vet made a mistake.

There is no way that this cat died from a rabies shot!! What an idiot! This woman is just looking to blame someone for her cat's death! Don't believe any of her review! This is the most compassionate clinic in Polk County! Dr. Cash and his staff are the best around! And Dwaine has helped us numerous times! He charges everyone the same prices. The computers print the food prices, not him. Maybe she should not have pets if she cannot afford pet food! What a jerk to blame everyone else! Even the people who tried to help her and her cat! She sounds like a person looking for hand outs and free veterinary services!

This person must be mistaken! Dr. Cash and this clinic would never harm any animal. The cancer must have killed the cat. Never heard of an animal dying from a rabies shot before? Sounds far-fetched to me! Don't believe anything bad about Dwaine either! He has helped us so many times! It sounds like she needs to blame someone other than herself for not taking her cat to be examined earlier? Sour grapes it seams! And I know Dr. Cash has been at this clinic for 3 years now! He is awesome!
