i have a janome sewing embordery machine also does regular stiching i love it i make a lot of things for my almost 3yr old i make her blankets and put embordery things like flowers and teddybears on her clothes she thinks its cool i also made towels and put embordery things on it for x-mas gifts i bought mine used from a janome store somebody traded up but it was still pricey we still paid 3000.00 for it but it is a good item ive got the janome 1000
I purchased a new Janome 10001. It has been nothing but trouble from the start -- nothing like my mechanical Kenmore. Originally bought to embroider for my grandchildren, it sews designs beautifully one or two times, then the machine throws a temper tantrum! From breaking threads, to nesting between the material and the plate, to jamming the bobbin. (all at different times) Trips to the dealer have left me unsatisfied and cost money. The machine is up-to-date on professional cleaning, oiling, and other maintenance. I believe it is a PIECE OF JUNK! Avoid 10001 at all costs.
I looked at several sewing machines available..wanted one that was easy yet does the job well...not a pro..so simple and easy is what was needed...also ther are features that add fun to sewing...
I found it all in this brand and model..Janome is the name to look for..Nice..
