Janet Evanovich —
A friend of mine from work insisted for about a year that I read Janet Evanovich. When I finally did, I couldn't stop! I bought every book I could find and spent each moment in stitches. My husband kept looking at me like I was crazy because I'd spontaneously errupt into fits of laughter. The characters are always fun and multi-demensional, the plots are always interesting, though sometimes a little over the top - but that's fiction! and the dialog is very real.
