Quick View: It's no secret to people who know me that I am a huge fan of Jane Be Pure cosmetics. I have tried everything  they offer and like it all but like some products more than others in the line. The new AguaCeuticals line is even MORE natural and organic than the original Jane Be Pure line. The three shades of Blushstix are amazing! Highly recommended to those who like subtle, natural, but slightly pearly looking cheek color.

About Jane Be Pure AguaCeuticals Blushstix

This blush comes in a .4 ounce tan plastic stick. The top pulls off and the blush stick can be screwed up to apply on the cheeks. The packaging is made from 50% post recycled materials and is recyclable when it is empty.

The blush comes in three shades: Shimmering Brown, Shimmering Peach, and Shimmering Pink. When I first saw these blushes, the word "shimmering" scared me because I don't like shimmer. However, after I bought the brown shade, I went back and bought the other two shades because it isn't shimmery. It's more of a pearly, dewy look.

These natural blush sticks contain white and green tea, organic aloe, organic aloe, lemon balm, and comfrey among other natural ingredients. A sticker on the packaging says the ingredients are certified organic.

Having said that, how do these products actually look on the skin? Gorgeous. They are subtle but have enough color to really give you a pretty glow. They can be as sheer as you want or you can build color by adding more. They are creamy and slide onto my skin with ease. When you open the stick and use it, you'll smell a scent that reminds me of tea tree oil but that isn't in the ingredients. I'm not sure what it is but it's not offputting. It's very different from any cosmetic I have used.

The sticks soothe and cool my skin. They hydrate and brighten my face. My husband even remarked that I looked great after I used the Peach Jane Be Pure AguaCeuticals Blushstix and this was outside in full sunlight! Obviously these sticks don't look cakey or unnatural.

I use a light foundation like Jane Be Pure Mineral Liquid Foundation or Jane Be Pure Mineral Skin Perfecting Sheer Foundation then sweep one of the sticks over my cheekbones. I blend lightly and either lightly powder my face with translucent crushed mineral powder or add a little more color with a soft mineral blush in the same shade family. The color lasts for many hours. I finish off my look with Jane Be Pure Mineral Lip and CoverGirl Lash Exact Mascara. I plan to try the natural olive mascara from the AguaCeuticals line soon.

I absolutely LOVE Jane Be Pure AguaCeuticals Blushstix. They don't irritate my skin, they're affordable at around $6.50 a stick, and they're natural. Best of all they look amazing on my skin. They're perfect for summer because they're light and flattering but they build in color as I get a bit tan. The Brown shade makes a pretty all over bronzer as well as a blush and all can be used on the lips or even eyelids.

My Viewpoint

This new Jane Be Pure AguaCeauticals line is fierce. I have the tinted moisturizer (SPF 30), some of the mousse eye shadows, and the powder bronzer from the line and totally love them all. Never have I gotten such flattering, natural results from such inexpensive products. Everything in line ranges from $5.00 to $8.00.  My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that I would love a rose shade to go with the Brown, Peach, and Pink shades. That would make my makeup case complete. I still am going with 5 stars though because, although I have worn blushes that have lasted longer on my skin like Daniel Sandler Watercolour Cheek Tint (at $38.00 for a tiny tube!), I like the look and the natural ingredients of Jane be pure AguaCeuticals Blushstix very much.

FYI: The Jane Be Pure AguaCeuticals line includes bronzers, mousse eyeshadows, eyestix (shadow/liners), mascara, and tinted moisturizer/sunscreen so far. It was introduced in December 2008 and all products can befound in drugstores and some mass-market stores.

In response to LeTigre87's comment from Apr 28, 2009 at 7:18PM:

I have read several reports that the cream eye shadows caused similar reactions. There must be something - maybe comfrey? - that causes irritation in certain people. I wonder if they will change the formula since there are a lot of people saying they like the eye shadows but have irritation. There may be people saying the same as you about the cheek product. So far, I haven't had any problems with the products, thankfully.

I loved the look and color of this product but as I am sitting here I have huge red bumpy cheeks from using this product, and I can say I have never broken out from any cosmetic and have always had clear skin so its unfortunate that such a lovely blush can do this to your skin.

It's brand new - just a few months old - although Jane has been around for years. The Jane Be Pure line came out last year and this is an even purer, more organic line. You can get it at drugstores and WalMart type stores.

I've never heard of this cosmetic line but I think I am willing to give it a try. I'm not really satisfied with the Neutrogena blush I decided to try a few months ago.
