Jane Be Pure Mineral Powder —

My niece gave me a container of jane. BE PURE mineral foundation.  She had ordered the wrong shade and didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it.  I am always game to try new make-up and was looking forward to comparing it to my current mineral foundation.

One of things I do not like about my current foundation is that it is so messy.  The jane. BE PURE comes with a sponge puff on top of the container.  It can be directly applied by tapping it on the skin or by rubbing it on.  I found tapping worked best for me.  I also experimented and removed the sponge applicator using my kabuki brush to see how that worked.  I didn't see much difference between the brush and sponge tapping method as far as coverage but the sponge method is definitely less messy.

The make-up itself offers light coverage.  The fair color is a perfect match for my fair skin.

The jane. BE SURE is free of talc, oil, wax and fragrance. According to the company, it is great for sensitive skin as it claims to provide essential nutrients and anti-inflammatory properties to prevent skin breakouts.  With my sensitive skin I found no problems.

The .18 ounce make-up container does not contain an ingredient list.  By doing a quick online search I found that this foundation contains the following ingredients:

Mica , Bismuth Oxychloride , Zinc Oxide , Silica , Diazolidinyl Urea , Methylparaben , Propylparaben , Butylparaben , Tocopheryl Acetate , Boron Nitride , Silk Powder , Magnesium Myristate , Kaolin , Titanium Dioxide May Contain - CI 77891 , Iron Oxides May Contain - CI 77491 - CI 77492 - CI 77499

Some individuals are allergic to Bismuth Oxychloride.  If you experience itching or breakouts with any of the mineral foundation discontinue use.

For the price I would recommend this foundation for those who may not have tried a mineral foundation and want to experiment at a minimal cost.

Physically, yes. But I have some issues to deal with that are very stressful right now. I think I'd rather be sick than this stressed over things. But this too shall pass!

I'll have to give it a try. Are you feeling better these days?

I like this but the Jane be pure Mineral Liquid Foundation is my new favorite. I never got the hang of powder foundation.
