The Marriott Bed: Frolic on Foam for Less

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Ever since Westin Hotels introduced its Heavenly Bed, in 1999, the major hotel chains have engaged in an all out "bed war" trying to win the all important business traveler segment of the market.

This is great news for the traveler, but it may be even better news for the consumer who is looking to buy a new mattress.  You see, the hotels not only feature their beds on their properties, they are willing to sell them to us.  A pretty good idea don't you think?  I certainly do.

Who offers what?

Westin Hotels offers it's *Heavenly Bed, *while the Hilton organization offers its *Cloud Nine Bed *in its Hampton Inn and other business traveler properties.  ...

A Huge Disappointment.--Not the Same Bed as We Slept in Hotel

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

With my bed and mattress over 15 years old, I wanted a replacement. My wife and I thought we had found it when we stayed at a Marriott for two nights in N. California in fall 2010. We went back to the same hotel in late January of 2011 and again we loved the bed. In March of 2011 I ordered the Marriott bed. Before ordering I called the Marriott sales number two times and got them to double check which mattress the hotel was using to make sure I was ordering the same one. I also checked the reviews at this site and others. I ordered the Supreme Foam Plush (9" deep) foam mattress. The only differfence was that I ordered a queen instead of a king sized mattress. I was confident. Howev...

Disappointed

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

We've had this mattress for a couple of years now. It reminds me of the ones my grandparents used to have with the indentations on each side where two people sleep and a "hump" in the middle where no one lays. They're supposed to have a good warranty, but you have a big hassle to get it taken care of, and ours has been discontinued, so we have to pay to "upgrade" to the new ones.

This bed will not disappoint. Worth every penny.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Two years ago my husband and I set out on the search for the perfect bed. We were sick and tired of our king-size, Sam's Club special bed. We'd had this bed for eight years and it was tired, saggy, lumpy, and overdue to be replaced.

We started out researching all the popular brands of typical mattresses, Seally, Serta, etc. Then we moved onto looking at the way pricey Tempurpedic and latex beds. We even went  to the mall and sprawled out on a Sleep Number bed.

I researched online, reading review after review of disappointed customers. People who said they felt like their tempurpedic or latex bed was like lying in a canoe after only 6-months. Others who complained of poo...

Love It!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I read several reviews before I bought the Marriott Bed. Some good, some bad. I did alot of research because the bed is not returnable, they stress that when you order, with such a big purchase I wanted to be sure. Some said the mattress in the hotel isn't the same as what you buy, all sorts of things. I purchased the supreme foam plus. I recommend the synthetic mattress topper, the bed seems quite firm at first without it. I went with the whole shebang, bed, linens, mattress topper, down comforter and pillows. I love it. I ordered the king size. It was a 4-6 week delivery time, all are made to order. I was surprised to get the bed in about 2 1/2 weeks, it was great. I love this bed. My husband and I are sleeping great, waking with no aches and pains. Exactly the same sleep experience as the hotel, except I have to make my own bed now.

'Made a miracle out of a short stay'

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Several weeks ago my sisters and I joined our older sister in Park City Utah for a sister's get together. We stayed at the Marriott Mountainside Resort in Park Cit Ut.. I had driven Sat. night & Sun. morn to get to the cemetary with everyone else. I had little sleep, a long day, dinner out and when we finally made it to the Inn, checked in, chatted, I was worn out. I crawled into the most wonderful experience on a mattress that I can talk about in a survey. Sure I was tired but it was like nothing I had ever slept on. We have a great Ca King mattress at home and I have always thought of it as the best there was.

The next morning, everyone had somewhere to be but me. I got up with everyon...

WOWOWIE great sleeping experience, no more aches and pains!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I now own a Jamison Marriott 9" foam mattress with pride and no more aches and pains every morning! We traveled to Fairfax VA, stayed at a Marriott and in two days I was walking normally, but the trip took us to Philly and to an expensive inner spring mattress and many AM wails of pain. Then back the next weekend to VA and happy nights at the Marriott and the ability to wake up without hip, and back pain. That was it for me, when we got home I started my research and after talking to Carol at Marriott and getting some of the best customer service ever (also talked to the VP for Marriott bedding sales), I placed my order without a second thought to the cost of shipping or the bed cost. When i...

If you fall asleep on the Jamison bed, you'll awake at daylight!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This is a dangerous mattress to own!  (Jamison, the Marriott Mattress)  You won't ever want to get up in the morning to go to work!

My husband and I were both totally shocked at the great night sleep we both have gotten for many consecutive nights.  We both usually wake up multiple times throughout the night.  From the first night we had this bed, we fell asleep and then woke up at daylight.  We thought it was a coincidence until it happened the second night, then third night, and so on.  We've been married for sixteen years and have never slept the whole night through for multiple nights.  This is the bed we've always dreamed of!!

beyond comfort

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I don't know of one person who would willingly sleep in a bed that was anything less than comfortable. However, most of us find ourselfs unable to sleep in our own bed from time to time due to vacations, business travel or other events that require a stay in a hotel. Most of us have also experienced sleeping (or attempting to sleep) in a bed that was anything but comfortable.  Over the course of my life, I have stayed in many hotels of various star ratings. After staying at a Marriott several years ago and sleeping on the most comfortable bed in the world, I have never considered another hotel for my away from home lodging. The Jamison bed is nothing but sheer comfort! The matress is so comfortable you are guarenteed an excellent nights sleep. I can assure you it is a comfort you won't forget.

Horrible mattress

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

Worst mattress ever. Mattress is sagging leaving a huge hump in the middle. Both wife and I experience horrible back pains. Good news is that I travel and don't have to sleep on it as often... Really bad mattress

My first good night's sleep in a long time

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I had been complaining about my mattress for a long time, then went on vacation and slept on the Jameson Marriott mattress. I wanted to drag the bed home with me! It was SO comfortable. I took the covers off to see what kind of mattress it was. When I get the money this is what I will be buying for sure! I'm not sure on the price, but I doubt if it costs as much as a TempurPedic. I slept through the night 3 nights in a row on this bed, that's unheard of for a mom of 2 toddlers.

BEST BED EVER!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I LOOOOOOOVE Marriotts bedding upgrades! I honestly wouldnt buy one because money is tight BUT if I ever had it to spare this would be one of my first investments! I always look forward to a stay at Marriott because of these beds. They are firm, yet supportive and I always wake up feeling rested.

Best sleep I've had in 10 years on a Jamison 9' Marriot mattress

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

After spending the weekend at a Marriot Courtyard in Ohio I will absolutely be replacing my own mattress with the  Jamison 9" Marriot mattress from Jamison.  I had major spinal surgery in 2000 and this is absolutely the best nights sleep I have had since then.  The mattress had no pressure points and I did not wake up even one time in 9 hours of sleeping until my alarm went off.  Best nights sleep I have had in years.  Congratulation to all involved in the design of this mattress.

All I can say is WOW! The Jamison Marriott Mattress is Amazing

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Wow I just slept on the Jamison Marriott Mattress for the first time and I am so amazed! When I first laid down I wasn't planning on sleeping just yet, just hanging out with my sister though she was texting. I wasn't super tired but I feel asleep almost immediately and it usually takes a while for me to. I slept so good, I didn't want to get out of bed the next day. The pillows and the sheet were wonderful too.

I want one really bad now so I better start saving, even though the actual mattress prices is pretty good, the shipping makes it a little steep. But will so be worth it.

not bad so far, but could be better

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

Just got it... so far it's not too bad but not as good as I thought it would be. Perhaps it will get better later on but so far I find it to be too hard... I will have to try longer to see how it really works out..
