Let me first say that I worked in wrestling for 10 years as a journalist. I used to work for WCW (World Championship Wrestling) as the editor of their magazine and wrote for almost every wrestling magazine and website around (I still write for a UK magazine and some websites.) so I end up with wrestling figures that often are sent to me from various places. My kids used to play with them but they are SO over wrestling that I now just sort of collect these guys (and girls) if they are worthy.
When I look at at an action figure, I look for reality and quality.
The Figure
Jakks WWE PPV: Series 11 John Cena 7 is a keeper. John Cena's gimmick is that of a rapper and this figure stays true to that image without going overboard. Clad in long shorts, white sneakers, and a white logo T shirt, the only other adornments he has are black wrist bands. No lunky chain and no silly knuckle ring.
This figure was made using real scan technology and is amazingly lifelike as far as facial features go. He even has blue eyes which WWE often forgot in earlier versions of Cena's figures.
Jakks claims there are 16 points of articulation which means, uh, well, I don't know.
I do know that this figure is a great one for your collection or for a kid to play with in a ring.
Cena is flexible and can move his arms, legs, neck, etc.
He is sturdy and will hold up to play wrestling but is also good looking enough to collect.
Although his clothes are painted on, they look very realistic.
Conclusion
Jakks did a great job with this figure and, if you can find it, it would make a great addition to an adult or kid's collection.
What an improvement from the older action figures that looked nothing like the wrestler!
4 stars for John Cena, I mean Jakks WWE PPV: Series 11 John Cena 7. ;)
