The in-ear headphones that came with my MP3 player hurt my ears, so I asked my husband if I could borrow his JVC Gumy In-Ear Headphones to see if they were any more comfortable. Since they are called "Gumy" - a spin off of "gummy", like soft, squishy gummy bears, I assumed they would be more comfortable in my ears. I was wrong.
The JVC Gumy In-Ear Headphones do have a small rubber layer on the outside of the headphone. When I insert it in my ear, I can't even tell that there is a rubber layer at all. They are so uncomfortable, they feel like a small, hard piece of plastic lodged in my ear. Which essentially, they are. However, I had high expectation for these because of their misleading name, "Gumy". The one good thing I have to say about these headphones is that they offer a nice assortment of colors to choose from. But a nice color isn't good enough for me. I would not buy these for myself and would not recommend them.
