At the beginning of June 2008, I decided to apply for a private student loan through Chase to help cover my tuition and college-related expenses. Years ago I had major problems with Bank One and ended up leaving them on very bad terms. I wasn't sure if there have been any improvements with the bank now that it has become Chase, but to my great disappointment I am once again displeased with this bank.  — They told me I cannot direct deposit a portion of my paycheck into my husband's account without being added as an account holder!  — I have previously been able to direct deposit funds into a LaSalle Bank account which I am not an account holder of, and the payroll company (Paychex) has a signature line on the… read full review »

For over a month I have been attempting to pay my bills online.  It worked well in the past.  Since early May of 2008, I began receiving error messages not allowing me to enter the bill payment section of the web site.  This week, it has occurred everytime, regardless of the day of the week, or time of day.  I reported the error to Technical Service on several occassions and I get the run around about how they are working on the problem.  There is no warning on the web site that Bill Payment is down and no mention of when the issue is expected to be resolved. … read full review »
