At the beginning of June 2008, I decided to apply for a private student loan through Chase to help cover my tuition and college-related expenses. It is now July 22nd, 2008 and I am still waiting to receive the funds from my loan.

After submitting my application online, I received immediate notification...

In August of 1995, I was an incoming freshman at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  At that time, Bank One, which later became Chase, had a branch on campus.  I opened a checking account, and I kept that account until today.  In the 14 years I had that checking account, I never bounced a check, was never overdrawn on the account, and never paid a penalty of any kind, until. . .

About a month ago, I deposited a check that was written to me.  Several days later, I saw online that the check had bounced.  I was upset at that moment, but I got even more upset a couple of days later when...

Years ago I had major problems with Bank One and ended up leaving them on very bad terms. I wasn't sure if there have been any improvements with the bank now that it has become Chase, but to my great disappointment I am once again displeased with this bank.

They told me I cannot direct deposit a portion of my paycheck into my husband's account without being added as an account holder!

I have previously been able to direct deposit funds into a LaSalle Bank account which I am not an account holder of, and the payroll company (Paychex) has a signature line on the direct deposit form which is to...

Bottom-Line: They seem to be playing fair so for now Chase will remain my bank...

Once upon a time there was a bank called First Chicago Bank, it was a Chicago institution.  But about three years ago it was bought by Bank One, an East coast financial concern.  Then came news that Bank One would merge with a much larger financial company, JP Morgan Chase & Co., itself a result of the merge of two of the largest banks in New York City and indeed the world; JP Morgan and Chase Manhattan.  And through it all there was me and my little checking account.

Completed in July 2004, the merger of

they are rude to the customers, take forever to answer the phones, dismiss you and do not answer your questions. they are great at taking your money but suck at returning it. they give you the run around. the loan officers can never be reached. this is the worst service ever. I'd rather go to wells fargo. at least they dont treat you like you dont matter. if it werent for customers, you stupid bank would not even be standing.

I have 3 credit cards and a mortgage with Chase and a customer in great standing and never a late payment. The cards all had balances of about 50% of credit limits and in Feb of 09 they slashed the credit limits on all card to just a few undred dollars over the balances. That did not bother me because I wasn't adding any new charges however after several months no I find my credit score has gone from 780 down to 594 and I found the reason is it appears my cards are maxed out. My credit history is perfect no late payments anywhere. Today American express call me to inform me that they are reducing...

I have my car financed through J.P. Morgan and Chase.  My car payments are due on the 20th of every month.  If my payment isn't there on the 20th they call me the next day.  I understand I owe them and I'm suppose to pay my bill but geeess...can I get a break?  They call me at least 6 times a day.  I thought you are suppose to get a 10 days grace period.  There is no need for the hassles.  They have someone from their call centers calling and someone from a local office near me calling.  The lady who calls me from the local office is a very rude  and demanding individual.  She went as...

For over a month I have been attempting to pay my bills online.  It worked well in the past.  Since early May of 2008, I began receiving error messages not allowing me to enter the bill payment section of the web site.  This week, it has occurred everytime, regardless of the day of the week, or time of day.  I reported the error to Technical Service on several occassions and I get the run around about how they are working on the problem.  There is no warning on the web site that Bill Payment is down and no mention of when the issue is expected to be resolved.  Given that I have changed many... review »

I recently discovered several unauthorized charges on my  WAMU-Chase checking accounts. Immediately, I contacted the claim department to report these charges as unauthorized and fraud. The customer service told me that there was nothing could be done. At that time, I asked them to block any further internet charges from my account.

One week later, there were 25 more charges from multiple unrecognized processors appearing on my account. I then again contacted the claim department. They again told me that there was nothing could be done except filing an affidavit form to dispute these charges. I...

I didn't mind Chase banking up until now. I have always been a careful watcher of my account (because I am a college student). I don't have any experience with fee's and any of the above. Well, I caught my account at .67 cents on the SAME day that I did the overdraft, so that same day, I went to Chase and deposited more money so I wouldn't worry about an overdraft- well, reguardless, I got the $25.00 draft overfee and it went through three days later. I do not think it's fair that just because your money is "pending" doesn't mean that you don't have any- especially because I deposited money in... review »

Chase has been my primary bank for many years. I have a free checking account, with direct deposit. Online banking, including online bill pay, is free.

I have my main checking account and a couple of credit cards, along with a safe deposit box. I use online bill pay.

I'm especially delighted with their new atms. I can deposit checks without an envelope and the images print right on the receipt. This makes accounting for my music business much easier, as my students' families pay by check. I don't even have to prepare the deposits. All I have to do is feed the checks into the ATM and verify the deposit...
