I have looked at wind chimes for many years looking for the perfect one [within my budget].  I finally chose the 32.5 aluminum and wooden chimes by J.W. Stannard.  I love to sit on my deck and listen to the gentle sounds of my fountain and the occasional notes of these chimes.  Heaven on earth!

The Woodstock model I chose carries the notes of the melodious Pachelbel Canon in D.  Each tube is meticulously computer tuned with the C, F Sharp, G, A, B and D notes of the rich, beloved canon.  This makes a wonderful wedding gift- particularly if the newly weds have chosen this song to be part of their wedding.

Perfect in the Garden:

Each time there is a breeze the wind-chimes will fill the air with the soft repeating notes of this favorite song.  The chimes are made with six silver tubes, four black rods as well as an ash wood sail and clapper.

Although the chimes are built to be weather resistant a little maintenance is required to insure they have a long life.  Make sure to periodically rub a little lemon oil to the wooden parts and clean the tubes with a gentle soapy water if needed.  Try not to wet the strings as it can cause rot.

These chimes come with a one-year warranty.

retails for $69.99 [2008]

To get email alerts of your friends reviews, go to the email tab there is a thing that says "Custom Notifications". Then it says in a link "add a specific member notification". Click that and your friends list will show up (just names). Choose the friends you want to get review alerts for and choose whether you want an alert immediately after they post a review, in a daily digest, or in a weekly digest. Do this for each friend you want an alert for. You can have some on immediate alert, some on daily, and some on a weekly digest alert. Once you are done, save and you will get alerts as you requested when your friends write a review. It sure helps to keep up with what people are writing. I get alerts for all 129 of my friends, some immediately, most daily, and a few weekly. It's overwhelming at times but I try to get to as many as possible.

I didn't either! The fact that they are tuned to a particular song sold me. They have a beautiful sound- rich and deep.

Great details--didn't know they did that much with windchimes. I have some similar ones on the front porch and enjoy the sound it makes.

How do you get alerts?

Oh - this sounds neat. My Mom esp loves wind chimes. Would be a good gift idea. Tks.

Totally! Haha. I just rated all the reviews I missed. I don't know why I am missing reviews though. I get daily alerts.
