The smell was just off somehow. When I look for products I want them to work and smell good. If you don't care about the smell then this would be fine.

This product worked but smelled fake. My husband asked me to buy a natural, all purpose cleaner for our home. We are trying to limit our families exposure to chemicals. I thought the price point was good at 4.99 and decided to give it a try. We like to use citrus scented products in our home. I was excited about the lemon scent, when I sprayed it I was very disappointed with the scent. It smelled like it was all chemicals. It did clean fairly well but the chemical scent was sickening. I was under the impression that the scent was a natural lemon scent. The company website describes the scent as "Lemon cookies, bars or cake fresh from Grandma's oven...yes, it's just as tempting and refreshing as that." like lemon cookies?, not sure what kind of cookies smell like chemicals. My husband asked me to stop using it and take it back if possible. I have used Watkins vanilla and other flavorings for years, so I was very disappointed when I tried this product. I just recently used J.R. Watkins Natural Home Care All Purpose Cleaner while preparing for the holidays. I ran into it at a sale price, so I decided to give it a try. The cleaner is very effective on a variety of surfaces including wood, laminate, and granite. Compared to more heavy duty cleaners, the results were less satisfactory while I cleaned the bathroom. Overall, it seems that the product is versatile for many surfaces but can see similar results as other products which cost less. The benefit, of course, is that you do not need to buy an assortment of cleaning products, but can instead use this one. I would certainly recommend the product for light cleaning jobs, but might use other products for more intense spring cleaning. The bottle the cleaner comes in is attractive- much more so than other cleaning products, so leaving it out on accident is not neccesarily a bad thing. Other products left out have the tendency of making your room look unfinished.

I really love J.R. Watkins Natural Home Care All purpose cleaner. The smell alone is fabulous, let alone what the product can do. My husband and I were doing some spring cleaning and pull out our oven from the place it is at. We came to find all sorts of tiny food spills that had slipped between the crack of the coutner and the stove. The spills stuck to the side of the oven and became very sticky. We were trying to figure out what to use and we ended up grabbing the Watkins Natural Home Care All purpose cleaner. We sprayed some directly on the sides of the oven and some on the paper towel. After letting it soak for a little while we able to easily wipe off the dirt, grease, and grime. This product is also very good when you are cleaning counter tops, surfaces kids have touched, and pretty much anything else around your house. I really love the orange and lemon scents of the the all purpose cleaner.

My mother-in-law bought this watkins natural home care all purpose cleaner for all the kids as gifts for Christmas.  What a great, practical gift.  I have been using this product now for over a year and have been very pleased with the results.  I use it in my kitchen for spot cleaning on the counters, floors, stovetop, oven door and cupboards.  I use it in my bathroom for the sink and mirrors.  It seems to cut through grease well and doesn't leave any residue.  I really like the lemon fresh scent that it leaves in my house.  My husband usually comments on how good it smells after I use it.  It feels good to use a product that is natural and plant based rather than a powerful chemical of unknown origin.  I don't have any other watkins products, but I must say that I really appreciate this one and will continue to purchase and use it.  I would recommend this as a multi-purpose cleaner for any household.
