To everyone that says that this book starts out too slowly, I say to read it again.  This book was amazing and the first chapter was so charming.  This chapter is what hooked me on the whole series.  This is the only book in which Harry is still just adorable.  He becomes a gloomy youth in the other books and becomes a jerk, but he's still sweet in this one.  This book also has so many subtle hints as to the entire series (which it would have to, being written by a talented author).  The story moves quickly and has lots of adventure.  A perfect book for parents and children (of all ages).  An entire family can enjoy it together.
