character-lover, a fan of clever plots, avid reader, fiction reader, a Harry Potter fanatic
The Case — Welcome to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth book in the Harry Potter series and the first of the 'chunky' novels in the saga. At over two inches thick, it is not a book to be read lightly. Of course, if you're coming off books one, two, and three, there's no question that you'll dive straight into four head-first, with a bit of glee at the prospect of such a thick addition to the story of the Boy Who Lived! — The Plot (Spoiler-free!) — Harry's fourth year in the wizarding world kicks off with a special treat: the Quidditch World Cup! He heads off…

This book has so much going on that it is hard to write a review. I loved this book. It starts out with Lord Voldemort plotting. Harry gets an invite to spend the end of the summer at the Weasley's and he is very excited. They get to go to the Quidditch World Cup, where bad things start happening. The Death Eaters (Voldemort's minions) show up and things turn ugly fast.
Once at Hogwarts, the students learn that they will be sharing the grounds with students from 2 other wizarding schools so that all may participate in the TriWizrd Contest, which Harry becomes an unlikely contestant in. Mad…

This book, like many, should be read before seeing the movie! However they are two diiferent stories or should i say the way they unfold are different. I personally loved the book and could not find time to put it down. Always wondering how Harry would find out about the next task and then how he would conquer the task. It was good to read about Harry and Cho. It showed this book isnt just a kids book, but it's relatable to real life situations. During his detention with profesor Umbridge, my hand became weak, as if I was writing the lines. I wouldn't see the length of the book to be bulky…

Every day computer user, a busy person, unable to follow strict diet, chronic reader, a library-goer, A frequent snacker, read for fun, a pet owner
Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire is, without a doubt, the best book in the series so far. — — The plot is much darker than the first three books, but the excitement reading the book brings is just as marvelously thrilling. — — This is the largest (thickest) book which J. K. Rowling has set in the Potterverse to date, and every single page is fairly bursting with magical adventure. — — While this series is definitely NOT recommended for anyone under 18, for those adults both young and other who enjoy this type of story, the magic is undeniable. —…

This past summer I read all seven Harry Potter. It start when my son brought the 1st book home from the library. I picked it up, started reading and couldn't stop until I finished the series. Goblet of Fire is the 4th book of Harry's adventures as an up and coming wizard. And it is one of the best. If you've seen the movie, read the book. There is so much you missed. Remember Dobby the House Elf? He's back and he and other house elfs become important this and the following three books. If full of fun, and adventure. And this book is when business with Lord Voldemort really picks…

I've read this book more than twice. It is by far my favorite book from the Harry Potter series. Action packed, there's mystery, and character development is great. — Wish there were more books out there like this. —…
