J.Crew —
J.Crew is great, but I definitely only buy when things go on sale. Oh, to be able to afford cashmere sweaters, cashmere t-shirts, and cashmere gloves! And I adore the bright array of colors that come in so many fabulous rich hues and tones.The best thing about this place is how well their petite sizes fit. It's awesome to find clothes that pay attention to my proportions. I'm in love with their winter coat selection; they always look so nice and fit snugly on me, plus the Thinsulate makes it warm AND stylish.
My only complaint was that during winter sales, they often run out of stock and tell you AFTER you've placed your order and checked out. It really miffs me since they offer nothing more than an apology in a follow-up email days later. Why can't they give 10% or free shipping or something as compensation? I think that would be good customer service.
Speaking of 10% off, if you are a college student, J.Crew offers this discount with a valid school i.d. in stores only (not online). It's really a nice gesture and valid all the time, though I'm in grad school now and must admit I couldn't afford any of their stuff as an undergrad!!
Overall, I appreciate their selection and make a point to shop this store when I'm in need of clothes.
