My family and I took a hike around one of the lakes near where we live and although a good time was had, my youngest son got poison Ivy. His face was where he broke out and had to have medicine prescribed by the doctor which cleared him up quickly. Unfortunately, within a few days, my older son got it too! His was on his legs and when I called the doctor, she said to purchase some over the counter medicine for the itch along with Benedryl. The Pharmacist suggested Ivy-Dry Kids Rash Treatment. I purchased it for $5.99 for a 4 oz. bottle.

My Experience
First of all, when I read the box to the rash treatment, it stated that is was a "lotion". When I hear the word lotion, I think of creamy. This solution had a very watery consistency so when I sprayed it on my son, it all ran down his legs. Not only is it watery, it has a horrible vinegar smell which causes my son to not even want me to spray it on or near him. I don't blame him because it is a really strong smell. It also burned him even though there were not open wounds. It stopped only a small bit of the itch and didn't dry him up at all. I gave up on this product and switched to Calamine Lotion which seems to be doing the trick. I paid way less for this lotion than I did for the Ivy-Dry and am getting much better results.
My Final Viewpoint.
Ivy-Dry Kids Rash Treatment is not only watery and smells awful but, it didn't work for my son. I really don't recommend this product and am only giving it a 1 star rating.
