Great for Gardeners

4

Ivory has been around for decades because it just outright works. I've always used a concentrated grease busting dishwashing liquid for washing dishes but when I was discussing gardening hands and how some dirt always seems to sneak through the gloves with a fellow gardener she mentioned that she used Ivory Dish Soap for washing her hands when she came in from the garden. I picked up a bottle the very next time I was at the store. I can't testify to the cleaning power on dishes, but it does a great job of cleaning the dirt out of your hands after you come in from the garden. I also got my hands quite stained while spreading coffee grounds in the garden and feared that I would have brown palms for the next week or so, but to my surprise a little Ivory and a bit of a scrub and my hands were back to their normal color! So, if you are a gardener and need a gentle, pleasant smelling soap to get the dirt off this is it!

Best Dishwashing Liquid Soap out there!

5

I have used other dish-washing liquid soap I admit, but once I discovered Ivory Non-Ultra Dish-washing Liquid (Classic Scent) I became addicted. It is so thorough in it's job it leaves other brands in the dust (so to speak)! Ivory can be used to clean everything soft or hard (fine dishes to pots/pans) without a scratch. There are items I do not put into my dish-washer such as fine china with a gold rim on it or big pots/pans as either they don't fit into or I just rather do it myself as too much is in the dish-washer to begin with. I used to be wary what I hand washed my fine china with as the rims are gold and I do not want them scratched. I have used a few different brands of liquid soap for hand-washing. After complaining to a couple of friends about this, they both highly suggested I try Ivory Non-Ultra Dish-washing Liquid (Classic Scent) and both promised me I would really like the product. I figured it couldn't hurt so I went out and purchased it. Well, after using it I thought it a miracle, no scratching, yeah! and most importantly VERY clean, squeaky clean. The second time I tried it was a bit more comfortable so I used wasn't so gentle as previously. And again, yeah, it was wonderful. I then used it on my pots/pans thinking it's too gentle for these items, but I was proven wrong (thank goodness). I am SO VERY happy with this product I cannot even begin to say. Please Please Please try this for yourself, it's just wonderful.

Ivory Liquid

I luv this product because it is soft on my skin and it cleans my dishes. It is not a product that I would recommend besides Ivory liquid. I know for sure that when my family eats off their plates, that it is clean and not a mixture of all different types of food and bacteria. it gives the dishes a twinkle and shine that is by far what i look for. It does not leave a residue. I also use ivory bodywash and soap. as you know it is the only soap that does float, it is not weighed down by heavy perfumes, and you can be sure it is a pure soap. It does not cover dirt it cleans and removes it gently. Ivory has been around for a very long time, and it is a brand that all of us can trust, a household brand, that generations have used and generations to come. It does not need fancy commercials, because its name is its standing. Never heard of one lawsuit, or lack in providing ingredients, or changes in its makeup. Why change this product when it is perfect and pure. Never try to change a product that has been working all these years. Although we live in a microwave society it is nice to know i can count on a product that stands the test of time. I use it to also wash my clothing and my pets, it gives a fresh smell and shine.

simple and gentle

I love Ivory dishwashing liquid soap. I used it for my daughter's baby bottles and food jars when she was a newborn and as a toddler. I grew up in a household where my mom used Ivory dishwashing liquid to wash the dishes and she often used it to wash her hands too because it was gentler on her skin. (you have to remember - this mass produced pre-liquid hand soap days. They only had bars of soap like dove and ivory to wash their hands. Liquid soap was expensive and didn't last as long as the old fashioned bars of soap ). What I like about Ivory dishwashing liquid, is the multiple and diverse uses. If we ran out out of Woolite, we would hand ways our delicates in Ivory dishwashing liquid. It's is one of the few dishwashing detergents that I believe is made with ninety-eight percent pure ingredients. It is very mild and gentle on the hands. I like how Ivory dishwashing liquid doesn't over produce sudsy bubbles and rinses of well. I do not want to put food in a dish that full of soap residue. I still use Ivory today

I WENT BACK TO GOOD OLD IVORY

5

After trying just about every brand, color and scent of dishwashing liquid on the market, I went back to good old Ivory. And I'm so glad I did. It works great and the lather is so silky and soft. The fragrance is also mild and pleasant. I'm glad they still make it! It was getting to the point where every time I went to the dishwashing product aisle, I got an instant headache. Too many screaming colors and fragrances to have to choose from. And they're always changing. I was spending 15 minutes trying to choose a color that went with my kitchen with a smell I could stand. Never again. I'm staying with Ivory. Give me simplicity any day.

Ivory Dishwashing Liquid: An Old Classic from Proctor and Gamble

3

Dishwashing liquids are offered in more scents and varieties than at any point in history and people such as me and others enjoy trying different brands/scents to see what they have to offer. Sometimes, though, it is nice to return to a product that is tried and true and a good example of such is Ivory Dishwashing Liquid, a Proctor and Gamble product. Dish Liquid Facts and Commentary: Ivory Dishwashing Liquid is a mild dishwashing liquid with a mild but agreeable soapy scent. The product is touted for its gentleness and it is very good for those with more sensitive skin. It won't irritate the hands like some other dishwashing liquids and it is also one of a handful of dishwashing liquids that can safely be used to clean other things besides dishes. Ivory Dishwashing Liquid has been around for a long time and many people reading this review might recall seeing it on the kitchen counter in the family home growing up. It has been one of Proctor and Gamble's cash cow products for some time and while market share is certainly not what it once was due to the hundreds of new competitive brands, this is still a product with a loyal following. As for cleaning, I find Ivory Dishwashing Liquid good, but not great. I agree that it is fine for washing ordinary dishes with an ordinary amount of grease and grime, but it is not powerful enough to handle the really dirty dishes that require intense scrubbing. It also doesn't offer as fancy a scent as I expect in my dishwashing liquid. But it is still sufficient for most uses. My Bottom Line Viewpoint: My bottom line with Ivory Dishwashing Liquid is that it is a product with many good things to offer; an old classic that still performs up to par and is less expensive than many other brands. I don't find it as effective as some of the other brands and the smell is rather bland in comparison, but this is still a good product and one worth revisiting every now and then when you cannot decide what dishwashing liquid to buy and feel like taking a stroll down memory lane.

Ivory dishwashing detergent is a classic for a good reason

5

I have bought and used Ivory dishwashing detergent for decades. It does everything it promises to do-now how many of the hundreds of millions of mostly stupid and unnecessary items that are available in our vast marketplace can live up to that claim? This one does. It gets the grease off the dishes (yes, folks, I eat fried foods, don't believe it will harm me in moderation). It is gentle on hands. In fact, I have my two handsoap dispensers in this household filled with: yes, Ivory dishwashing detergent! No matter how many times a day I wash my hands they never get dry or uncomfortable. The scent is pleasant and not overpowering in the least, it's just there. (Reminds me of my mom, she liked and used Ivory as well). It's a very good price and lasts a long time. You get lots of high-quality suds with substance. None of those flimsy, quick to disappear bubbles that appear with cheaper brands. This is the real thing, folks, and I highly recommend it.

Ivory is great for more than just dishes!

My husband works in a field that requires him getting quite dirty at work each day - especially his hands! I hate that his hands are always dark and stained from work - it makes me so nervous about him handling the baby with such filthy hands. We have tried lots of different brands of soap until his grandma said that she always used Ivory Dish Soap for his grandpa who was a mechanic. A cousin then chimed in that her mom also uses Ivory Dish Soap for her carpenter husband. I was intrigued at this point that a dish soap with such a gentle name could be so tough on hands! I gave it a try and sure enough, it cut right through all of the stains and GRIME on my husbands hands after work each day! Not only did this soap do a great job of cutting the grease, grime and stains, but it also smells very pleasant so I didn't have to smell the harsh odor and chemicals on his skin each night! This is a great soap!

Ooop! No more bubble bath!

I have always been a Proctor & Gamble user for all my adult years.  My Mom passed it down through the generations and I will keep passing it on and recommending it. I use their cleaning products, soaps and dishliquid and I am completely satisfied with the results I get from the Ultra Ivory Dishwasing Liquid.  It saves me money, since the 24 oz bottle will last me quite a while and it is concentrated and just a few drops will wash quite a bit.  The slogan they use, "hard on grease yet gentle on the hands" has been proven and tested by me over and over again.  It leaves my glassware sparkling and also silverware and dishes.  Greasy pots and pans are no challenge for Ultra Ivory either.  I have put a few drops in a greasy pan, added hot water and watched the grease break up.  Ooops!  We are out of soap!  Try a few drops of Ultra Ivory in bath water.  What lovely bubbles and no soap scum ring left in the tub....lol     Kids out playing at the park - try a Ivory bubble bath and watch the fun and laughter from all the bubbles.   My Mom swears that she gave us bubble baths with Ivory liquid when we were kids, even if she had a bar of soap. The scent is unique and the product contains biodegradable surfactants and no phosphates.  In otherwords,  environmentally safe which is becoming a very important factor in todays everyday living.  Give it a try and see what you think if you already haven't.
