It's a Wonderful Life Review

Hollywood frequently does not get things right in movies.  Of course over the years there also have been directors with vision and purpose who have.  Its a Wonderful Life is one of those films.  It is an all time favorite and loved by almost everyone who sees it.  It actually presents some truth and makes a believer out of most who view it.  It provides hope and encouragement, something today's world is in sore need of.  Perhaps they show it every Christmas season for that simple reason.  It is certainly better than the Santa Claus in meaning.  It also seems actually to be better that it is in black and white as black and white lends a credibility to the quality of the film.  And finally what can one say about the fine acting of James Stewart and Donna Reed and that friendly little Angel.  Someone used quite a bit of thought in writing the dialogue but without the excellent delivery and inflection a great deal of meaning would be missed.
