I first found L'Eau d'Issey when I was in high school and loved it. Fifteen years later, I picked up the Christmas gift set, which included the 1.6 oz. eau de toilette and accompanying body lotion for approximately US$70. I am as in love with it now as I was then!
The perfume consists of a blend of lotus, lilies, peonies, and a light musk, which gives it a watery, fresh floral scent. When you spritz it on, it comes out fairly heavily, so it takes very little (only one or two spritzes) to get enough perfume to last the whole day. The spray is also fairly wide, so don't point too high on your neck, or you'll get a face full of the scent...great smell, but you're not going to like the taste! By the evening, the perfume fades to a very light lily scent. The lotion is not quite as strong, but it extends the life of the perfume if you choose to layer both products.
This is my standby perfume for the Spring and Summer months. One thing I love is that it is great for a formal occasion, such as a wedding, but it is light enough to be work-appropriate. Even those who aren't fans of floral perfumes (namely, my husband!) will love this feminine, elegant scent.
