Isabelle Boulay is a francophone Canadian pop singer. She also sings some folk songs, R&B, and country, I think. She was registered in a song festival without her consent in 1990, but she completed a performance there which was a huge success. She won at other song festivals following that. Her soft, romantic style is attractive. She's my favorite francophone singer. I like learning the lyrics and being able to sing along in French. My favorite of her songs is "Depuis le premier jour," which I used to have, but it got deleted and I can't find it anywhere. I've heard some of her English songs, and the lyrics sounded simple and repetative. I prefer it when she sings in French. I like to harmonize with her sometimes and wish there was harmony in her songs. She sang with her sister once, and with male singer(s), and that sounded nice. I wish I could find more of her songs and albums. I don't know where you can download many of them, and the albums I found were overpriced. Plus I already had some of the songs on them and didn't want to pay for songs I already had. I think her music is a great choice for anyone learning or speaking French.
