I currently have the pleasure of owning several of these iris food pantry bins; I use one each for my cat food, dog food, rabbit food, guinea pig food, and hay for my small mammals. The bins are very sturdy as well. They have lasted through the rough and tumble of two moves within the last three years, and now look wonderful in my walk0in kitchen pantry. I like that the bins are bpa-free and therefore are not omitting any chemicals into my dogs dry food receptacles as well. Another great point are the bins closable handle, as they keep the bins secure and allow for easy handling, for myself, especially on monthly grocery days when I come home from the warehouse club I belong to, and have to add incredibly large bags if pet food into these bins! Another great feature is that the bins, although see through, are a strong-grade plastic and incredibly strong in quality. I highly recommend this product!

The Iris 301008 PPD-MP-5 Pet Pantry for Dogs Airtight Food Container is perfect for storing pet food, especially if you live in an area with smaller critters that like to get into dog food. This container also helps keep the food fresh until the pups can get through all of it. When we first purchased it I thought that it was a little small, so we contemplated just using a trash can with a lid. I am so glad that I didn't I actually love the size because it fits in an are of my laundry room just perfectly. I love that the lid is airtight and my laundry room never smells like dog food, with the exception of when I feed the dogs. This container has also made it through three different moves, so I would say that it is pretty durable. The fact that it is plastic makes it so simple to wipe off too! I don't have to worry about my dogs getting into the food or any other animals for that matter, yet it is simple for me to just lift off the lid and scoop out the food! Perfect for storing food!

I was tired of always storing my dogs' food bags in the closet for multiple reasons -- worried about bugs, worried about it getting "stale," worried about spilling it by accident when getting out, etc. My girlfriend suggested getting an airtight container like this one, but for some reason I was hesitant -- it seemed like an unnecessary purchase, despite the reasonable price. I have to say, I was wrong about that -- I can't imagine going back to the old way of storing food in the wadded up bag. It was such a hassle to have to go scoop it constantly, as opposed to this airtight container, where I can just quickly pop the lid open, scoop, and go. (And by go, I mean watch my dogs wolf down their food in about two seconds flat!) I no longer have to worry about bugs, spilling food, making sure my cat doesn't break into it, or anything else along those lines. This was a great purchase (despite me not thinking I even needed it initially), and I'll never go without it again!

We bought two of these bins - one for adult food and one for our puppy's food. Now that the puppy has grown and no longer eats puppy food we use the extra one to keep their cows ears chews in. Our rambunctious large dogs can't get in the bin themselves to get the treats - therefore saving us money.

I bought two of these container for my animal food. I have one for the cat food and the other one for the dog food. I really like these because they have a great seal on them. I used to have problems keeping ants and small bugs out of my pets food but when i got these i was very happy to see that they do really keep the food safe from bugs. The ones that I got will hold a brand new bag of food with a little a room left over. I have told everyone that I know that have pets that they sould get these to keep there aminal food safe from bugs. They keep the animal food smell locked in tightly inside and they are very durable. The food seems to stay fresh all the time, the one I have for my cats last about two months before I have to buy more and there food feels and smells the same as it did when I bought it and poured it into the container. If you have pets please get one of these containers your pets will love you for it.

This airtight dog food container by Iris is fantastic. It is a nice size and it keeps the dog food fresh. The container has a rubber seal around the inside edge of the lid which seals out air. The lid also has a locking machanism so the lid stays closed.The Iris food container looks nice enough that I keep it beside the dog's dish in the kitchen. That is convenient for feeding.Another plus is that you don't smell dog food until you open the lid.This container holds the 15 pound bag of dog food.I think that is the right size. I have Yorkies so even the mid size bag lasts a while. That is why I like to keep their food in the airtight container. Recently one of my dogs had bladder stones. He had to have surgery to remove them and then he was put on a prescription diet to keep them from reoccuring. My husband went to the vet's office to buy the food and he came home with a 25 pound bag. Now I need to purchase a larger storage container. I am only considering an Iris airtight container because this one is so nice.

I have had this product for over a year and it is always full of dog food. It is great. I love being able to just buy a bag of dog food and dump it into the bin and go. It is so much easier to feed my dog every day. I leave a measuring scoop right on top and just close the lid. The container keeps the food sealed so the smell stays in and the bugs and dust stay out. I had been reviewing other containers online and they didnt have as good of reviews as this one so I decided to go for it and I am so glad that I did. One of the best pet purchases I have made. This product is made to last and I plan on having it for many more years. It is so great. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone with pets, totally worth it!

Of course, they're not just for pet food -- you can keep anything else you need in bulk around the house, rice or flour, for example. The food is protected from deteriorating effects, but also very easy to access when needed. The plastic is high-quality and feels like it'll last as long as you'll need it. Before buying this product at a major online retailer, I shopped around and was quite surprised for how much stores want for mediocre quality containers. The form factor is also quite nice, as it is narrow and can fit in a pantry or cupboard because it has a smaller footprint and does not take up too much room. All in all, the value for the Iris airtight food container is excellent and well recommended for anyone who buys dry food in bulk and needs to keep it fresh.
