About 3 years ago my husband bought the Ionic Pro and brought it home. We had been using a heavy duty ionizer and it was giving us headaches and making the air smell "funny". It had also stopped working, so we gave this one a try. It is easy to clean, but you do have to check it daily to make sure the metal slats are free of debris. I just take a duting cloth and wipe them down. Once a month I take the whole thing to the kitchen sink and wash it off with water. The manufacturer states that you have to let it dry for 24 hours, but we have never waited that long. We let it sit for 12 hours and then put it back in. The the ionizer we seemed to have mountains of dust because it was changing the ionization of the particles. We don't seem to have that with the Ionic pro. We liked it so much, we bought one for our daughter's room. She is prone to all kinds of allergies, and she seems to have less symptoms with the Ionic pro in her room. We may be buying yet a third one for our office.
