Don't toss those vinyl LP's just yet

I have several hundred LPs - many of which will never be available via i-tunes, Rhapsody etc due to their obscure nature.   The answer to this dilemma is the ION USB turntable.  I have used this $110 device to salvage nearly 70 tracks from vinyl into MP3 files that can then be transferred to CD or an MP3 player. 

The turntable comes with easy to use freeware called Audacity which allows you to edit and manipulate the tracks.  You will need to down load a free converter from LAME to transfer the WAVE files that Audiacity creates (which are lossless and huge - a 3:40 song may be 39 MB in size...

Do you have old records you just don't want to get rid of before you hear them again. With this turntable,you can record your albums to CD and listen to them over and over. I never knew it could be this easy. I ordered one online,it only took one day to get. That same day I had the turntable and software all hooked up,  and then started to convert my vinyl to CDs and still haven't stopped.What I have always wanted. An easy way to convert my vinyl to CD.
