Overall does everything I need it to do! This is one if the very few flat irons I have been able to actually get my hair straight! Great for use on very thick, natural curly hair. I love that it has adjustable temperature settings. I would highly recommend this product for everyday use. Effectiveness Very very effective when used. I have used many flat irons that will not even straightened my hair half way. This product does the job the first time around, and I never have to worry about needing to go over my hair a second time. Durability Very durable iron, made of good strong product. Great quality! Lasts as long as you want it to. Great product for the price!

I have purchased my fair share of flat irons over the years and they are not all created equal. After my last flat iron stopped working I decided I was going to look for something that wasn't so expensive but that could do a terrific job. I researched and looked at a lot of different types of flat iron. I knew what I wanted and it wasn't something that only heats up for a minute and then cools off. I also wanted something that would be easy to use and that would have a high temperature. I came across the Ion flat iron when I was in a discount store on vacation and it was on sale. I knew that the price was right and that this flat iron was a proven winner. I purchased it 2 years ago and it is still going strong. It makes my hair feel amazing and it works each and every time. The temperature stays where you put it and it is constant. It pays to research what you want and if you are lucky you manage to get it at a great price. Definitely will purchase this product again.

After having bad, cheap hair straightener's, a friend of mine suggested I try the Ion.  She actually let me use hers first, and I loved it!  It heats up to 450 degrees with seconds.  As soon as you start straightening your hair, you see it working.  I am a busy mom of three so I don't have a lot of time to do my hair in the morning.  With the Ion hair straighteners it takes me about 10 minutes to flat iron my hair.  And it looks good.  I have used flat irons in the past that I would spend so much time trying to straighten my hair and you couldn't even tell that I had done anything to it.  I also think the price is not too bad.  I have used a Chi before and I would definitely say that the Ion is equivalent to it, and it's cheaper. I also like the appearance if it.  It's not too big or bulky, so its easy to pack if you are going out of town or something. I would absolutely recommend this, and I have told a lot of my friends about it.

I bought the Ion flat iron at Sally's and I absolutely LOVE IT!  After my thirteen year old tried mine, I had to buy her one for Christmas so that she would leave mine alone. It heats up in about a minute and cuts off if you accidently leave it on.  Now it doesn't take me 30 minutes to straighten my hair.  I can straighten my hair in about 5 minutes.  I also took it to work and used it on a friend that has natural curly hair.  She told me that it would not work on her hair.  After using it she was amazed and had to get herself one.
