Overall, the hotel looked very clean and orderly. The staff were very polite and friendly, as were most guests we encountered. The location was good for Old Town visits. In terms of the building itself, we were impressed. Our view was rather uninteresting as well, as we faced another set of rooms. Also, it is worth noting that parking and breakfast are not included in the cost of the room. The Intercontinental stayed true to its name. The hotel was very clean, ideally located near several restaurants and a walk away from historic Old Montreal. The Metro entrance is also right underneath the hotel and across it. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the speakers above the commode is an interesting plus. The huge windows with a great view of the fountain across the street was a nice touch.Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, The Notre Dame Basilica and Old Montreal are a short walk away from the hotel. The rooms were very clean and pleasant w/ speakers and a phone even in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. The one conceirge was misleading but the gentleman in the morning was pleasant and very helpful. Our family enjoyed the stay and would be pleased to return. The doormen were also very helpful and pleasant to speak with re: car and directions.Entertainment: Short Walk, The metro stop w/ the gate provided from France is very close to this stop. The Intercontinental Hotel was extremely comfortable and enjoying. Our romm was wonderful and the service is excellent. We enjoy the Lounge very much. the location in Montreal is wonderful because it is walkable to everything...The jazz Festival and Old Montreal I would recommend it to anyone.Dining: Short Walk, There are a million restqurants a few short blocks fro the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. Everything was great. The staff was wonderful and the bell-hops were superb at recommending places to eat, visit, etc. The hotel had a wonderful view of the waterfront and everything was so easily accessible. The bed was wonderful-feather everything!! The Intercontinental is in a great location, within walking distance to Old Montreal's shops and restaurants. The room was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. IT WAS A VERY COMFORTABLE STAY. THE BEDS WERE FABULOUSLY SOFT AND PLEASANT TO SLEEP IN. ROOMS ARE COMFORTABLY LARGE. IT IS LOCATED IN THE HEART OF MONTREAL. YOU CAN EITHER WAY TO THE OLD MONTREAL OR NEW. The InterContinental Montreal was nicely located on the edge of Old Montreal. Easy walking distance to all the sites and restaurants of Old Montreal.
